I have just put a 2006 engine into a 2011 tao tao the only drastic problem I have is there is one extra wire on the magneto plug on the 2011. When opened they seem to be pretty much the same can I just swap them over or is that going to create a catastrophe. Ok I started to try to see if I could come up with a wire configuration to get it to work . Didn't go so well so to elaborate a little more the first picture is of the 2006 wires that come out of the magneto and at first I thought because I had two male ends I could just cut and splice in a female. That didn't work, so I started trying different combo's as the 2011 engine and bike have an extra butt connector. So the 2nd picture is of the bike just realized it's a little hard to see but one of the butt connectors is kinda touching the muffler. the last is the pic of the 2011 engine that I removed however you can see I have one extra wire. Can I just swap the magneto's or is there a wire combo that will work or another solution? If I pull the magneto's can I use just a standard gear puller or is there a special tool for that? I am more accustomed to working on american stuff or Honda's. They look like they should just swap over I'm just trying to be cautious as all the other easy stuff hasn't been that easy and trying to avoid butchering the whole thing up. Thanks. Attachments:

Your question is: "Can I swap the stator from one 139QMB engine to another to make it work in my scooter?" The answer is yes. If you change a 50cc engine with another 50cc engine but the stators have different wiring, you just have to swap stators and it will work. The engine doesn't know the difference.
