I don't really have anywhere else to go, or anyone else to really talk to. Me and my girlfriend/fiance just broke up after 7 years together. I honestly don't know what to do. I just want to pound my head against the wall until I forget everything thats happened today. I know you guys probably don't care, but it's one of those times like Brent was talking about where you just feel like steering over into oncoming traffic and whatever happens happens. I've never had those type of thoughts before, but this is a special situation... What should I do?

Sorry man, and we do care. If you need to talk, you know where we are.
Do whatever occupies your mind whenever you can. For me, if I can find a project on the scooter that really interests me my mind slips away from everything else while I'm working on it (didn't work so much when scooters were my problem, but otherwise). Sometimes playing a game I really like on Xbox or something like that has the same effect. I watched a lot of movies when my grandmother was in the hospital trying to let my brain relax for a bit too. You can't ignore the stuff in your head all the time, if you did you'd never deal with the issue. You have to give yourself breaks from it if at all possible though. I know it's hard to believe sometimes, but it will get better.

Sorry to hear that bro! Keep yer head man. If ya wanna talk more you can call me anytime, i will pm ya my number. Its hard to "sidetrack" your brain in a situation like this, but i agree, you need to try to focus on something else and not let this pull you down so hard you dont feel like getting up. Your a smart dude, and very creative...Go stare at your scooter for awhile and see what cool mod, or paint sceme you come up with next? Its hard to believe right now, but it will get better with time.

Yup, find something to work on...
If you have too many thoughts you need to get out, you might try writing it all out, burn the pages after, it can help clear your head. Losing a long term thing like that, it feels like someone died, but even that will fade over time..so give it time.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. A good nights sleep put things in a better perspective for me. Still feeling down about it though. I think I'm gonna spend most of the day just riding around trying to clear my head. I'm feeling more angry than anything honestly. But I can't tell if its at myself, at her, or at the situation. Maybe all of the above. And you're right Goosey, after being together that long, it feels like someone died. Maybe that someone was me on the inside...

Sorry things didn't work out for you with that particular girl but you just gotta get on with your life. There's another girl out there for you.
Trust me, in 25 years you'll look back at this and it won't matter anymore.

The fact that you hurt means you are definately not daed inside. Just giving yourself a temperary reprieve to let you recover.

It's amazing to know that you guys are always here when I need you, even when it's not about scooters. It's like we're all a big family that was brought together by our love of scooters. It really means alot to me that I can count on you guys no matter what I'm having problems with. Gives me a great feeling inside

Glad your hanging in there. It looks like you have a few projects to work on, maybe change the clutter you say your scoot has accumulated. I was thinking to mention to stay away from radio's, they play all that sappy music that just makes you feel worse

I was thinking to mention to stay away from radio's, they play all that sappy music that just makes you feel worse Yea, I try to stay away from the radio as often as possible. I actually make my own music instead, so I've been writing down all of my feeling in a few new songs and that's really been helping. I definitely have a few projects to work on too. The scoot really helps get my mind off of things. I couldn't think straight this morning so I went and got it in tune and took it for a ride through the park. Took a few pictures while I was there, but I didn't think to get my scooter in the picture.

Hey man i just saw this thread. Glad you are feeling a bit better. I have always found creative work to be a good healer. I'm sure the music and photo thing will help. But give your self time and don't get bummed if it takes longer than you expect to get past it.
If you need to, just channel your inner Trent Reznor and write it out ;D
And Goosey, good call on the rule of thirds. I'm amazed when i teach how many kids have never heard of it.
