usmcdoc provided this information about the exhausts commonly found on eBay for GY6 50cc four-stroke scooters. This type of modification can greatly reduce the stress on the headpipe and header connection.Make a brace like I did and save yourself $150.00 or so on a one piece exhaust. Here is a pic on how to do it. I used 3/4X1/2" aluminum angle stock. Total cost...$3.75....total time invested...about 30 mins. Look at the pic...the arrows show the pieces I made. Has worked and held up for 4 years...and now...you have a place for the hangar strap that the cheaper(But just as good if not better) pipes have. Maybe Brent could put it in the Tech section as I see many riding with a 2 piece aftermarket exhaust..with NO rear support for it. Won't be long and that thing is gonna break off...seen it many times. So go for it..look at the pics and make a bracket for the hangar straps...
