Use a single ring piston any kit?

Hey! Quick question -

Can you use a single ring piston on a kit that came with a two ring piston?

You can. Not sure about that one since it's for a different engine platform.

I asked Carlos if he had any pistons 47mm/12mm and he sent me that link. Going to go ahead and ask him if it will work on a 1E40QMB. Awaiting response before I go ahead and purchase.

If the pin height to piston top is the same it 'should' work...

The reason it looks different to me is the lack of indention around the pin. All my other pistons have indentions around the clip area. Now that I look at it, it looks like it will work.

Carlos got back to me (almost instantaneously, as usual) saying that it is for the 1E40QMB, but it's a "race" piston. So I'm thinking buy this piston, then port my cylinder to a Polini Corsa specs (courtesy of the port map section ) and I'll have a pretty nice little race kit here ;D.

What piston are you speaking of? If its this one i would not suggest it for your ride man. Its a flat-top piston. and totally different than what you were using. It will probably run, but im not sure how long? This piston comes with a bridged ex port Nikasil plated aluminum cylinder. Then again, im not 100% sure it wouldnt last? Dont listen to me today lol! It will run different for sure. The heads squish shape will say allot!
