Hi, and welcome. First you need to start a new thread with your problem, so that the help will be specific to your problem. Give as much information as you can. What is the make of your scoot, how many miles on it. Was the leak from a missing screw, or from a leaky gasket? Gear oil or regular oil? Did you check fluid levals before you ran it? You have a place for Gear oil, and a seperate place for the standard oil. Won't start is too vague...is it turning over, is there no sound at all, as much info as you can give will help. Yeah it's considered kinda rude to ask a question on someone else's thread. It's known as hijacking. If you click on "125-150cc Scooter Troubleshooting" and then click on "New Thread" on the top right you'll have your very own thread just for your individual problem and like Gooey said, be as descriptive as possible. Thanks

Ok, the Relay was the problem with the Start not "Start"ing. Thank You. You da Man! So while I had er open I installed the new performance coil, and an unrestricted performance CDI ( now I have a working spare ). Also put on the new Brake handle assembly, now I did a lot of swearing there, before I realized I needed to disconnect or loosen the other end of the cable Rode around the block, and it was running very smooth, then just turning into my road it died I think it was just the coil not connected snug to the spark plug, I got that connected again and seems to be good, though I didn't get farther than doing circles on my dead end road. Had to put it away, weather coming. Not looking good for putting the shed together on my day off again I did get the lawn mower going I mowed the lawn My exhaust pipe on the car wore through, got that fixed cheap, had to use part of my snow blower $ for that It's an Up/Down weak all around. If it dies again I will have to wait to pull the plastics off for a valve adjustment. I realy should get the twin on the road for her spring test ride, new carb to try out yet. The Baron is my baby though.

Great job Goosey! If you ever suspect a relay might be bad in the future but you aren't sure you just un-plug the connector and put the multi-tester probes on the scooter side of the plug and press the button. If you get a 12 volt reading then the relay is getting current from the start button which means bad relay.

So a bad relay is getting the voltage, but the curcuit inside is not working, that's why crossing with the screwdriver worked. Made the curcuit. Gotcha. Now I just have to have another nice day to test drive and find out if I got the gremlins out yet.
