On the qmb139 I am working on there was tiny synthetic rubber washer which was just under the needle clip. Anyone know the purpose of this object and should it normally live under or on top of the needle clip?

I've only seen that once. All the other carbs I've cleaned out just had a clip. Not sure what it's for other than maybe a vacuum seal  |

I have it on my scooter, and friend has it on his. Leave it there  (under the clip) |

It's on my 150 and 50 CV carbs, below the clip. Like JM, I figured it's a vacuum seal.

Ok. I had moved it above the clip. Guess I'll put it back below. A seal makes sense those being diaphragm carbs. Thanks.
