Hi, I live in Connecticut, I have no drivers license and I wanted to get a 49cc Scooter because I found out I didn't need to have a license to ride it.
Well, come to find out, that's not true. My question is, if I was to stay on the shoulder, only ride during the day and like 30mph would I get pulled over? My dad says drunks who lose their license use scooters all the time.. I'm not saying it's right but I really need some type of transportation..
I guess I'm just wondering if I could get by without getting pulled over?

i can't tell you if the cops will or will not pull you over but if they do you will most likely be charge with one or more different charges which equals court, fines maybe even jail. Why dont you have a dl?

yeah not sure what the laws are in that state are but yeah they would probably pull you over. Like in Indiana where i live you don't need a license to drive them but you got to have Identification and my town makes you get what they call city ordinances permit its alot of crap but they made me get it after pulling me over lol

to the forum. Even if you ride the legal speed limit for scooters there and obey all traffic lawas, all it takes is for a tail light to go out or something small like that to get you pulled over and get you into more trouble.

Also, be aware that it's also more dangerous to be going that much slower than traffic. You'll be wider than a bike so cars that are passing you will have to get much closer to you to pass.

If your willing to go to jail and fight for your rights, I will show you how to not only... (travel) on a scooter without any paperwork (tags, title, license etc..) And not only that, but if you are arrested you will make over $15,000 in the process for having your rights violated. Here is the simple breakdown... If you "OWN" your scooter, have no lien on it and do not use it for "making money" (pizza, chinese food, paper delivery etc..) then you are free to ride all day long, without anything! Pm me if your interested in learning but be warned, your going to have to be prepared to go to jail, but!... It will be worth it Oh... and welcome to the forum

I am from Missouri. The cops around here, want people to have a drivers license, because they want a person to be at least 16 years of age and know the rules of the road.. Kids younder still ride them and cops do nothing. I rode with no license for about 2 years. Could have riden on a permit..lol..
