Hi guys, and gals, i am new to the forum, and i think its the best one i have read so far. I have a 2008 Xingyue HB139 49cc Chinese scooter, and i want to buy a 100cc big boar upgrade kit for it, but i was told to "Check my cylinder valve status" before i buy it, to make sure it will size up, i guess.? Does anyone have any advice, or have done this before to help me with this question??? Thank you much:) Confused, in New Hampshire....

"cylinder valve status"
Refers to the length of the valve stems. If you look in the tech section there are pictures and an explanation as to what is going on.

Here's a look at a head with 64mm valves (right) and another with 69mm valves (left).

So, do i measure the valve end to end? and can i pull the valve right out? or is it a process??

So, do i measure the valve end to end? and can i pull the valve right out? or is it a process?? once you take off the head, as in above picture, you should be able to tell just by looking (no measurements needed) if yours looks like the one on the right, with the valves just about even with the head, then you have the 64mm valves.....if it looks like the head on the left, where the valves are a lil bit past the edge of the head then it has the 69mm valves.....you do not need to take apart the actual valves to measure them....& IF you do be sure you have a valve spring compressor on hand for reassembly. Keep us updated with any issues or progress

***you may need a new head gasket once you take apart the head if you plan on driving before receiving your new BBK****.....not 100% sure on that
