Been using one of those lil red buggers on my scoot for a couple of years... cheap, easy to find and work well.

I'm partial to these type. You can remove 'em and spray carb cleaner through them against the flow direction and they are good to go another year.

I bought a whole display card of the one's Fox posted (Visufilter is the name brand of mine) and have been using them for a couple of years now. I've never tried to clean them though. I just throw 'em out once they look bad or have debris in them.

I got mine from Parts For Scooters . Just search for filter and they'll come up. I paid $30 for them then, now they're $60 for the same display. $3 if you buy individually.

I figure if carb cleaner cleans carbs then it must clean those filters pretty good. I'm running a 2+ year old one on my scoot right now. Maybe I should replace it? LOL

I like the element and they are small. Around here they are over $4 tho. Need to buy a sheet myself. Im sure with this type filter you are going to be fine flushing it out Fox.

Their site says it's sintered porous bronze in the ones I think we're all using, but they do have other types.

Using a lawn mower fuel filter works better than the fuel filter that came with the scooter. I have not changed fuel filters in about 2 years. I need to soon, but will put a new lawn mower fuel filter on it. The frame filter is for another type filter. There is a hose connected to the air filter and connected to the exhaust pipe. There is a filter in the middle of the hose. Could not findout exactly what the hose done to the exhaust system, but the first filter nearly caught fire. So I change the filter once per year, to prevent it from catching fire. But anyhow, people don't need a motorcycle filter to put on there scoots. They can find filters at Walmart and Oriely and not have to worry about ordering online. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted[attachment thumbnail="1" id="1117" I need in use mine more filters on my dirt bikes before just because they were cheaper than the original ones and still filtered the gas just as well but it was the k&n brand same as the air filters
