I picked up this Triton clone Xpeed the other day for parts...
Today i went out to pull the cvt cover to see what gear ratio it has.
The cover was a PITA to get off. This thing has been sitting outside for how long. Its an 05 sooo . Heres some pretty pics ;D
Believe it or not the belts a Bando 788 and i think under all that crap its still good? Preserved by dirt that is . Probably dry as a desert...

Im starting to think this thing ended up in the guys pond at one point?
Believe it or not after soaking in some old gas for awhile some of this turd is starting to polish!
Never seen flats spots so flat on rollers, look like they tried to make themselves into sliders!

Did you get the nuts off the vari and clutch or are they still soaking?

I'm not sure I'd trust the integrity of the metal. Might snap the swing arm on the first good bump. ;D

I'm with Fox. Are you sure they didn't pull that thing from a shipwreck? If you fixed this one you'd have to call it Barnacle Bill or Spongebob or some sort of nautical nonsense.

Yea they came right off after a shot of PB. The vari was a bear, had to use the lil pry to get it off. Gonna use whatever is good?




The case is gonna be cleaned up for a full build if it looks ok after the clean . Ohh well, ya win some and ya loose some, but for $20 im good ;D
Do wheels rot too ? These will be nice on sumthin?

Looks like at least twenty dollars worth of saveables there. Hell even if you stripped it down and kept only the nuts, bolts and screws that'd be worth it. You can never have too many extra fasteners around.

For real, a customer has dibs on that already man sorry.
I do have another set of bands that broke. You think they would hold if welded? If so there yours free if ya want. And if for some reason the customer dosnt pick it up, the unbroke one is yours unfree ;D
