 to the forum. I'm in MD (Eastern Shore) as well. I just registered my first scoot since the new laws in Oct 2012. I ended up paying $90 more than I thought because my local "full service" MVA would not do the paperwork for scooters and said I must go to a dealer or title service. The Honda dealer charged $90 on top of the $65 it should cost. I did email the MVA back, because I had spoke with a rep that told me all I had to do was take the paperwork she said in and pay the fees. I asked what the deal is. We'll see if I get an answer. Just wanted to bring that up since you're here and may find yourself paying a little more than you thought, depending if it's just my branch that's screwy or not. My scoot was $675 shipped, so and extra $90 is a pretty big percentage of the cost to pay unexpectedly. |

Well ill tell you the first thing you should think about with a scoter in baltimore is security. Wheel lock+ chain+ alarm system= it doesnt get stolen. Just saying there are alot of chop shops in baltimore so protect your investment. People will try to steal it

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, the new laws are annoying.
I'm actually in Catonsville so crime isn't really an issue. Last month I got to ride a scooter in Bermuda and loved it. It was some model of a TGB. The problem is nobody around here seems to carry them or have bikes that have the same design. I'm going to head up to Moto Strada and see what they have.

Id still go hard with security, still well within a scooter ride to a chop shop. Im just saying cant be too careful, doesnt take long to steal one
