My scoot is a Diamo Velocity made by QJ, basically the same as a Vento Triton except for the front looks a little different. That being said, if I premixed my gas and oil, what would be the correct ratio? Another question I have is- If I were to leave my injector hooked up but wanted to add a little oil to each tank of gas to run a little richer, how much oil should I add in that situation. My scoot used to lose power after around 5 miles of the engine getting good and warmed up and would develop a slight vibration. I have the power issue resolved but the vibration still happens when the engine gets hot. It's weird, it's like I can feel the centripical forces in the CVT as it gets faster. It's like a Wha, Wha, Whaa, Whaaa, vibration (if that possibly makes any sense to anyone) that I can feel from my feet up through the front to my hands on the handlebars. I don't feel it the first five miles it's just when the engine gets hot. Jeremy mentioned something about the rings maybe being worn.(although the engine only had around 300 miles on it when I got it.) Any Ideas?

With standard oils 32:1 to 40:1 premix ratio. I use AMSOil Sabre Profession 100:1 Synthetic Premix Oil and mix it to 50:1.
If leaving the oil pump hooked up and filled, I'd think 50:1 - 100:1.
I'd almost expect the problem to be CVT related, but I'm not too sure what it would be. As your engine warms up, your clutch and other CVT parts get very hot too. If not for the fact that you say it's operating temp related, it sounds like it could be a tire balance issue. I dunno. No offense, but it's hard to diagnose wha, what, whaa, whaa... you know?

Yeah, I know that was a pretty lame explanation. It's pretty much one of those type of things someone would actually be riding the scooter to diagnose. It has gotten somewhat better since I drilled some holes in the cover.

Well, it's pointing to a CVT issue then. If you have time, inspect everything. Look for belt wear/damage, flat spotted or chewed up roller weights, anything warped, etc...

I agree with Brent. Check your CVT out, i think i know what kind of noise you are talking about now, i have read about your prob before but couldnt quite place it. I had the same vibration and of beat (lawnmower) type hhhuummm to it. It is hard to explain isnt it . Mine was a bad bearing and a broken drive shaft. The scooter still road fine but had that vibration and got worse the more i road it. The nub at the end of the driveshaft that goes into the CVT cover bearing was broke off on mine, witch in turn wore the bearings from all the extra stress on it. That might not be your exact problem but i would do a good rundown of the CVT if i were you. Pull the cover and check the bearing in it, grab your clutch bell and see if it moves around allot, some is normal but if it moves ALLOT then your drive shaft bearings need replaced. Even though you have low miles it could have been a faulty bearing from the factory, who knows Hope this helps

Hard to explain but everyones heard it before. I checked the clutch bell and it felt pretty solidly in place. I hope it's something a whole lot more simple than that, but with my luck I doubt it.

Well it was a CVT issue in that their was barely any gear oil in the transmission. I filled it up and that solved the problem although I can't help but wonder if any permanent damage was done. It's operating normal for the time being.

Glad you figured it out. As long as metal shavings or "glitter" isn't all over your gear oil, you are probably fine.

It must have been way low huh? Its almost hard not to overfill them it seems, only needing 100ml. Thats one gulp and a small one at that. Glad you figured it out silver, hope your bearings are ok.
