ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY VERY APPRECIATED. I have a brand new scooter -0- miles.... has NEVER run since NEW in 2003. No spark. Replaced the coil twice. Bypassed kill switch. and have the brake levers compressed. Have this bike almost completely apart at this point. IT cranks and all electrical works fine (lights, starter, etc.) Found the solid state rectifier/regulator connector wired incorrectly so I re-wired it to the factory wiring diagram in the manual. Still no love. Is there any correct way to test the Stator output, resistance . Is that small rectifier/regulator capable of being tested. Also I am not sure I trust the wiring schematic in the owners manual. How should the rectifier be wired? I am at wits end. Any help or referrals to good resources would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance for considering to offer your time and suggestions. I am an auto mechanic and very frustrated with this cute little scooter.

www.scootusa.com/test-ststor.htmRectifier/regulator should just be for charging and lighting so if the lights work and don't blow out and it charges the battery at reasonable voltage it's OK.

Could be the brake light cut out switch, if you have not tried that yet.
