Ive had this 2001 CPI Miskito since last summer. I bought it wrecked for a couple hundred in ok shape.. It ran but had a howling sound from the crankcase. From my experiences this is the sound of a bad crank bearing. It ran and i could wheelie the thing so it was sold! The front end was bent and the plastics didnt match.. It was in rough shape and in need of some TLC. Here is a pic of what it lookied like when i got it, Skeedr is in the background..

The Peace Pipe didnt stay on very long as it hit the turn signal and didnt work very well with a stock 49cc cylinder. It hit, just not as hard as it could with a proper cylnder. It was all stock and ran good but got kinda boring quick so we installed a Airsal T6 kit with the Peace Pipe back on 21mm Keihin carb, stock intake, custom reed-block, K&N style filter, Stock CVT with 3.5g rollers and proper vari spacing. Here is a vid of it running with the "ballpark" settings we put it together with.

BTW, i would like to mention the engine was torn down and as i suspected the crank bearing were bad. Looking like they had been wet at some point?.. I know the scooter sat for some time but i did not know it had water in the cases at one point.
I could have torn it down and put in a stock replacement crank i have but a good member here, and friend of mine let my son and I have a good long-block for next to nothing. Thats what good friends are all about! So thanks to Jason aka shakerdriver we have a good long-block with an Airsal T6 top-end on this scooter. I am sure the way it sits it will yield 65+MPH with the stock CVT.

Dang! That looks like a 4 stroke carb,,Now the engine will be infected and will start growing valves, cam and a hundred other parts, then it will only have a power stroke every other revolution!!

It is.. But i know its not grown those yet.. It sounds too good and sucks too much fuel lol Ide say i almost doubled jet size. Went from a W7 to a W6 needle. Only good thing about a four is fuel eco. Good for running a genni, or cutting my grass.

Even for the rider, it may use more fuel but damn I bet it'd be more fun if the 800cc were a 2T instead with 2 Peace Pipes.

Thanks man!I have some visual upgrades done. We also increased all port durations by adding base shims. Ive was having trouble knocking when warm and rolling off WOT. The squish was @ .8mm and i really didnt want to add a head gasket to loose power.. So, i decided a nice trade would be in order. Adding the port duration made this Airsal T6 happier with the Peace Pipe, and it also raised the squish to 1mm or so without a head gasket. So basically i lost compression but no power overall. Actually its got more power in th emid-upper range just no dyno to prove it.
I will get some pics asap.
