New to the forum and scootering in general. Just picked up my first scooter, a 06 PGO Big Max 50. It hasn't run in years and has sat out in the elements, but is in great shape with 7000 km. It didn't have a key, so I hotwired it and it started up first kick. It however would bog out when gassed, so I took the carb apart a cleaned a lot of sludge out of it. Once back together it runs but smokes and run pretty rough. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to adjust the carb back to the correct settings. I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions for you all later. Thanks.

A quick question. I'm waiting on a new battery. Do I need battery hooked up to tune carb due to the electric fuel enricher? Also, if motor is idling, should there be oil coming out of the oil line at manifold end when removed from nipple? Thanks.

You don't need the battery installed.
You shouldn't have oil pouring out, but there should be oil in that line. Don't leave it unhooked.
