Picked this one up off of Craigslist this morning for a steal. Missing a few plastics, and it doesn't run right, but I should be able to get her purring like a kitten in no time. Fires right up and idles like a dream as long as the choke is on, but as soon as you mess with the choke or try to give it even a tiny bit of gas, it dies immediately. I'm thinking it's a carb issue since the fuel is a few years old and the tank is very scummy and rusty inside.

It didn't come with a title sadly, so my first mission is to try and track down the last registered owner and see if I can get them to sign it over to me. Otherwise I'll probably just end up parting her out and keeping the parts that I could use.

Only 16k on the engine! Half the parts look almost perfect condition too.

I don't know who the idiot is who decided to silicone the air box shut, but I'll be having fun trying to get that open this week as well as strip half the parts off to try and get to the carbs. Wish me luck!

Good luck with the bike and with the titling issues. Hope you can get it straight, because it looks too good to be a parts bike.

Give the carbs a good clean, my 500cc twin did the same when I got it (clogged jets, dried diaphragms)
