I know one guy with a 2.0L (SRT-4) that can pull those numbers (other than weight) at about the same boost level in street trim and another with a 2.3L (SVO) that does 9 second quarters. Not sure what they weigh, but those numbers aren't bad for cars that cost less than $500,000. Put either in gravel or even a road course and it would be a different story though. Seems like that thing would be better suited at Barret Jackson than on eBay.

Seems like that thing would be better suited at Barret Jackson than on eBay. They have it listed on Craigslist for $800,000. It is an iconic car in unused, pristine condition. EDIT: Also very few Barret Jackson bidders could appreciate it's narrative. 90% of them are die-hard muscle car aficionados.

I understand it's a piece of racing history. The problem I've always had is that I would drive it anyway or get rid of it immediately if I owned it. I can put little models on my shelf for a few bucks if I just want something to look at. I appreciate the significance of that car and cars like it, but I've always enjoyed using cars. Kinda like when I go to a car show and the guy that brought his car in on an enclosed trailer and never started it or ran it just enough to reach his spot beats out a guy that is pretty close and drove there. Just seems wrong to me. Know what I mean? I was thinking the same thing about the Barret-Jackson auctions. If it isn't from Carrol Shelby, Dale Jr., or John Force... what the heck is that thing? I don't have A)much money B)a car worth much money, so I don't know where stuff like that would be best suited.
