Running it with the oil that came with it was my problem. i think the dealer that i got it from didn't change it when he put it together. after 200 miles, i changed it and noticed a blueish tent in the oil dish.(it already had oiled used oil in it).

Mine always blow up from mods. lol I hear of 20,000 miles is about the highest number I hear on any sort of regular basis from a stock GY6. With the Chinese stuff, some of that depends how lucky you get. A lot is maintenance as stated.

What about rpms? My stock BMS came with 5 gr rollers and if it werent for my tach Id have never known this motor was hitting 8200 consistently! Thats too high. I put in 5.5 gr sliders and now have the rpms around mid 7000s. It only creeps to 8000 if i push it to 40+... Rpms and oil has to be the biggest things you need to keep an eye on.
Bottom line though is you can get a drop in complete motor for 300.00 bucks or so too.
