If you make it a four stroke its ruined I'd rather burn it. Parts easy enough to get.

the whole point of getting this WAS to get a 2stroke... im actually having one helluva time finding parts for it i need the entire kick start assembly shaft and all. i can find parts of it, but not enough to complete it. the motor has compression, and ALMOST all the parts are there. most of the things that need replacing are cosmetic. but i agree, i would rather burn it, than make it a 4 stroke.. i already have 2 4strokers. the whole point of buying this was to NOT have another 4stroke.. o well, if i cant find what i need, im only $200 into it. ive taken bigger losses before

I love my 2Ts too. I just don't know much about moped engines to know how much potential it has and how tough parts will be to come by. There's a point where a reasonably priced, quick, easily swapped, engine makes sense... even if it is a 4T. With those pitbike engines somewhere around 150cc now with a 4 speed manual 70+MPH and low gear wheelies shouldn't be that tough. Not exactly a pokey little 4T. I'm all for it if you can keep it going as a 2T. It was just a suggestion in case the parts situation was bad.

You would easily sell that to a moped enthusiast who would hav the parts to fix it, if you feel you can't do it. Keep an eye on ebay you may have to wait for parts to come up. Place wanted ads on moped and scooter forums and local papers. Watch the small ads and Craigslist.

although, strangely enough, the old plug that had been in this machine for YEARS didnt look too bad i went ahead and picked up a new one anyhow (couldnt help it, lol) im just sooo psyched about breaking down, and building up this Chappy! ive NEVER done a frame up build, much less on a two stroke! it probably wont be done till around Christmas, so i will definitely have to LEARN a whole new level of patience...
