www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUiS7XhPuzIMy Kymco Super 8 150cc went from screaming at what I believe to be around 9000 rpm WOT at 55-60mph topped out...... to what I suspect now is about 7500 rpm comfortably cruising at 55-60mph at about 3/4 throttle. I used the 11.5g rollers that came with it. Top speed now is 65 flat and level, with me alone on it 185lbs and a slipstreamer windshield. 0-30mph excelleration is about the same as before (PDQ!) One of the best bolt on performace mods i have ever done, worth every penny. Manufacturer Part Number: NK900.87 Kit Includes: Variator Varitor Backing Plate Drive Face Two Sets of Rollers (10.3g and 11.5g) Fits: Agility 125cc 4-stroke Super 8 150cc 4-stroke People 125cc and 200i Like 200i

A good variator can make the world of difference. I have always had Yamaha scooters, and their stock variator is very poor. We are starting to get quite a few Naraku products here now. They seem good quality product for the price

I think OE variator are meant to be used with the restrictor, so they aren't made to perform well past the max. belt travel it has with the restrictor. My SR50 had a huge drop at 30 mph (dropped 2K rpm) and I tried and tried to set the CVT to take this out, but even with the hardest contra spring and light rollers, it dropped 1-2K RPM anyway. Aftermarker variators are a must if you want good performance IMO. Here it's the other way round: we were able to get Naraku parts locally, but now we need to import them from overseas, local parts seller don't sell them anymore.
