I think I am going to buy this one on Amazon. Price is $109.99 + free shipping. LINKIt has a ball type hitch that should mount on the rack behind the seat easily. The rims look like plastic so I probably will replace the wheels with regular bicycle wheels. Should be cheap, lots of bike stuff at flea markets. It will need lights, I already have some. Looking for more LED lights for it. For power to lights a small 5 pin connecter will work well, have extras in the garage. These are about an inch or so wide and are small.

Only need 4 pin connecter for trailer lights that have a 2 light system. Brake light & turn signal same physical light. 1) Ground 2) Taillight/Marker lights 3) Left turn signal 4) Right turn signal Brake lights operate off both turn signals.
Wiring for separate turn signals will need extra wire if you don't want 1 of the reds blinking. I bought 2 red LED lights for taillight/brake light and 2 red LED arrows for turn signals. This will require 5th wire, so taillight & brake light are 2 wires, turn signals are 2 wires, and 1 for ground. 1) Ground 2) Taillight/Marker lights 3) Brake lights 4) Left turn signal 5) Right turn signal

I received my trailer Wed 10/23/13. UPS dropped it off in the morning. Quick processing of my order and on time shipping. For free shipping I didn't expect it overnight. LINKSome assembly is required. I will take pictures of the trailer and hitch installation and post them when I get batteries for the camera. There are no written instructions only an exploded diagram. The diagram is very clear, and took me about 1/2 hour to assemble it (some time spent looking for tools). The trailer looks exactly like the picture. The main body of the trailer is solid & well built. The welds look sturdy and the trailer is well engineered. The axle's for the wheels slip into the trailer axle and lock into place, the wheels can be removed in a few seconds by pulling a spring loaded pin and slipping the axle out of the shaft. The tires are pneumatic (36psi). The rims are plastic but seem solid and I don't think I will be in any hurry to replace them. There is a kickstand with a quick release pin that locks the kickstand up or down, The pin locks in place. The waterproof cover is made of fairly thick nylon and does not look flimsy. The cover has Velcro straps that secure it to the frame of the trailer. The reflectors mount with plastic brackets with rubber strips that keep the brackets from moving, easy to install. Assembly was straight forward and really easy. I had to file a bit of flash out of 1 of the holes that mount the bar to the front of the trailer, took about 2 minutes with a small file. Otherwise the assembly was almost effortless. The Plastic box sets in the frame and rattles around. One review I read the owner used a piece of round pipe insulation to put on the bottom bars of the frame to keep the box from rattling. I had a piece of pipe insulation in the garage and used it. A bungee cord to secure the box to the frame is also a good idea (the cover will secure the box to the frame). The hitch is really well designed and the main reason I bought this trailer (other than the price, $109.99 + free shipping). The hitch has a ball with a matching receiver on the tongue of the trailer. the hitch locks into place so it can't accidentally come off. The hard part was figuring a way to mount the hitch to the rack of the scooter without welding. It took me about 3 hours to build the mount for the hitch using a pipe and parts around the garage. The one I made may be temporary as I came up with another idea. I didn't yet install lights on it. The trailer is low enough not to block the light on the back of my scooter, but I will be installing LED lights anyway (safety first). I took it for a test drive, about 20 miles with the trailer empty. I drove down a dirt road at 25mph and the trailer stayed with the scooter. On pavement you don't even know it is there, even at 40mph. I did U-turns with it on a 2 lane road, I took corners at 25mph (on pavement), I purposely hit bumps in the road and the trailer didn't flip or interfere with the handling of the scooter at all, even on tight U-turns. Overall, I am pleased with this trailer and expect to put a lot of miles on it.

Trailers will get squirrely when empty more than when loaded. I loaded a big car battery (40+lbs I'm guessing) in my trailer to test it with weight. The trailer tracked really well. Slight difference in acceleration (expected), I still was able to do 40mph and the trailer pulled along like it's supposed to. No noticeable effect on scooter handling, no interference from trailer. I put a 2nd car battery in and tested it more. Overall, same results as 1 battery. The size of the box looks like I can get a fair amount of groceries in it. I am really happy with this trailer.

One thing I forgot to mention. Like all trailers, keep the weight forward. If the trailer is heavier in the back than the front it will fishtail (all our trailers for the trucks do the same). I purposely tested this with the car battery behind the trailer axle and it fishtailed at about 12mph. Moved the weight forward and it tracked just fine. Be aware of this when loading any trailer.

Finally got batteries for my camera! Here are a few pics of the trailer & hitch. Also a few pics of installing the pipe insulation on trailer to quiet the box from rattling around. Box the trailer came in. Trailer parts (frame not in picture). Scooter to pull the trailer (SunL Passeo LB50QT-3). Close up of luggage rack. Trailer assembled (without box). Took me about 1/2 hour to put together. Close-up of kickstand. Trailer with pipe insulation installed and duct taped in place. Trailer all together. I had about 50 miles on the trailer when pic was taken. Parts for hitch. Hitch assembled. [ Parts I scrounged up in garage to mount hitch to luggage rack of scooter. I had to hammer the pipe flat a little so the U-clamp will fit. This hitch mount is temporary, I have ideas for 2 different more permanent types of hitch mount. Hitch mounted to pipe. There are plastic spacers under the hitch clamp around the bar, these come with trailer. Mounting to luggage rack. Hitch & mount clamped, adjusted and tightened up. Close-up of trailer tongue hooked up to hitch. The big screw it to screw in & lock so the hitch doesn't accidentally open. Trailer hooked to scooter. Depending on your luggage rack a different idea will be necessary. This particular design will not work on my Kaliber LS. I am trying to come up with a design that I can use on both of my scooters. When I work out a refined type of hitch mount I will post new pics.

It's been taking me a while to figure out the wiring. I've been looking at wiring schematics online and nothing made sense electrically. The reason is, scooters have separate turn signals. To hook up a 2 light system on the trailer (combo tail/stop/turn), requires a converter on the scooter end of the wiring harness. The converter I was looking at in the store was $37. So I decided to use a 5-pin connecter with separate turn signals on the trailer.

Update: I keep a small gob of grease on the ball to keep it lubricated. I don't want it wearing out. Also, the grease makes the hitch quiet (so quiet that I have to check my mirror to make sure the trailer is still there).

I have been toying with this ideal for some time. I saw this at Harbor Frieght and it started to come together. And ended with this. This trailer includes: Mounted Spare Tire Under Box Battery mounted behind the tale light Mounted spare fuel & water cans 12v outlet Foldup box mounted on top of main box Hardest part Trailer Hitch. Using a 3/8" double eye turnbucket bolt mounted to a ubolt on trailer. Wiring done using 2 4 pong standard trailer plugs. So ran it around town about two hours, ran well.
