Well lads. Havent actually had a scooter for a while since selling my speedfight, but have been doing motorcycle projects and my old mopeds are still kicking about.
Anyway spotted this Stalker on scumtree last week for cheap, text the guy just to see and turned out he lived in the next street from me lol! So needless to say i went and got it bought! Have always liked these wee bikes and not a bike you see often in n ireland, missed out on one a couple years ago and havent seen another.
So, despite the fact that it runs (with no exhaust lol) and is an 03 its quite rough, doesnt look bad in the pics i dont think its ever been cleaned or really maintained either. Decided to strip it down and see about cleaning everything up..
Problems -
Missing exhaust and broken ex stud - Already ordered studs/gasket and sorted a Yasuni Z off a mate.
Forks completely seized up/stanchions rusty - Either rebuild forks with new stanchions or replace.
Rear brake cable was so shagged it snapped, cant seem to source a new one think they are discontinued, maybe can get a universal one
Apart from that get the frame stripped and painted and the panels resprayed and basically every part just needs stripped/cleaned/painted/restored accordingly to make it like new again, then a rebuild!
Where would you guys be at, ballpark, with jetting on this thing with the Yasuni Z, or with the Yasuni and a open filter? Carb is a delly phva 17.5, need to check stock jet probably just order the 5 sizes above it and tune it in, or would i need to go even bigger with open filter?
Any advice about what other forks from other models would fit this?
