Thought ide share some mods that can be done to a stock TD for more belt travel. All you really need is a couple files and some grease and paper towels. You can file the "top" were the clutch goes on to allow the TD to open all the way. You can tell if and how much its restricted by taking the spring out and setting your clutch on. Then open your rear pulleys as much as possible. If the clutch stops it from opening all the way this mod will help. Its good for 3-10 MPH gains if done right. Usually about 1/2mm is all you need to take off. I choose to leave the seal in the TD while filing. I take mine right to the lip on the seal. Another thing to do is lengthen the ramps in the TD. A small round file is good for this. A dremel will work also. Heres a side that hasnt been done This side has been filed some. Can you see the lower ramp? Its a good idea to take a before and after measurement when doing this.

Thanks for the info. I've done the track mod, never had shave the top to use the added travel yet. Good to know though. This will be copied and added to the Library.
