One thing to ensure is that your 50 cc engine doesnt excede your max speed and max hp kaw before you have it reregistered as a 50 cc

That may make it so they wont let you register it as a 50 The state may check to see if it excedes the top.speed allowed or check the hp

Here we sometimes change the serials for 50cc ones... I know it's not legal that much but police does this to Chinese scooter/atv/etc. which came without papers or serials. Like, if you have a 50cc engine and a frame with no tag, they give you a 50cc tag. They put a plate with a serial number and give you the slips for the bike. So people used to take out 90cc frame tag and put 50cc one instead to register it as a scooter and not as motorcycle, or for the people like you who used 50cc engine on 90cc+ frame. Like my friend's TGB 125cc which was converted to a 50cc 2T (piaggio I think) because frame is larger and more comfortable on road than the 50cc one and he had pain finding the right parts for the 125cc.

I have been working on the legal issue of this before I go to all the work of doing it and then the say no dice. I was told that they could do it if I have the highway patrol inspect it when im done. I want to know before hand. I have it mostly mocked up with PVC pipe so I can get it right and if it dont fit the pvc is cheap and easy. I have been working on my new handsome boy this week. Quicker to get it running.
