We'll the scoot is all put back together and it sounds like it's running flat... My pops said it might be the belt ( it was thrashed but I'm waiting for my other one to arrive ) could it be the mixture? Too lean ? The dumb ass dealer put lock tight around the mixture screw and it's hard to mess with it.

Sorry i am late to the thread. The pick-up mounted in the CVT cover is a speed limiter that works off clutch bell speed. It must be eliminated before any real CVT tuning or you will not get the results you are after. I would remove the pick-up and get a clutch bell without the metal "weight". Im not too sure about the stability of those clutch bells at higher RPM? I dont think they are balanced well? Ive seen one that was warped from spinning much faster than the "engineers" intended.
Also, like on other CPI models i have worked on, yours i missing the support bearing in the CVT cover. The drive shaft slides into the bearing for support. I would get one in there ASAP.

no clue what this is. It has a bullet connector at the end of the wire. Just didn't see where it came unplugged In this pic you can clearly see were the bearing is supposed to be. The recessed hole(about 1-1/2 inch)in the cover is were the bearing goes. You will see the driveshaft protruding from the clutch bell, sticking right on out the other side. This is supposed to slide into the bearing in the cover for support. Here is a link to the bearing needed. www.partsforscooters.com/Clutch_shaft_bearing_50cc-2

Its BS that so many decent scooters come with missing parts I really like the CPI,s, most all of them.. But to be missing important snap rings, bearings, seals, etc kinda upsets me.
