hello there and salutations i got on here to get some ideas and maybe figure out some things to do with my project so let me just start by saying that at the begining of 2012 i bought a 1989 yamaha jog off an old college mate of mine and decided to give it a little boost lol by throwing on the polini corsa kit as well as a performance variator which just turned it into a massive wheelie machine and had a top speed of 55mph so far but even had a few more rpm's to so never truly found the top speed of the thing and now ive done ordered a stage6 mkII race kit with stage6 hpc crank stage6 19mm black edition carb yasuni c16 and have talked to a local chopper shop that has agreed to work with me on extending the motor mount by 3 inches so that way i can hit the throttle and not wind up on my back but ive already read a couple of builds here and was wondering if anyone can chime in and help me with some options on the fork since i really need disk brakes not drums for the front even though i know i got to keep the rear drum i have already found a good drum setup for the rear but since the majority of the braking comes the front brake i need something better than drum so can i get a opinion on what might fit to switch the front fork to something that has disc brake capability thanks in advance

Measure the diameter of your fork tubes they should just clamp in to the stem at the top. Then all you need to do is find a donner with the rite size rim and tubes you should be all set.

hey bud i have a set of good forks here large taper or small taper along with caliper and rim and disc etc if your looking, sounds like a good build and i have some odds and ends

Welcome to the forum. Drum brakes can work quite well if set up properly. I would go through the brake and make sure everything is as good as it can be, then see what it is like. Good quality shoes and a good cable and making the drum mechanism work the best it can might be enough. I would try that before thinking about a front end swap. My wife's rear drum is better than her front disc brake, even though I have replaced the caliper seals, pistons and fitted a new master cylinder. She never uses the front the back brake is that good!

start your own build thread you might get some info you need. well anyways i checked i have 2 sets of forks id assume you need the smaller of the 2, if you want the setup i have the follwing
2x forks 1xmaster cylinder and lever 1Xhyraulic line 1xcaliper with good pads 1xfront rim with rotor and good tire still about 85 percent id sell all of it to you 75$

What is the ''code'' of your scooter ? If it's CY50, you can fit front zuma forks and wheel (a local machinist can make an adapter like mine) with disc brake, also fit a zuma case they are not that expensive nowdays (unless, they are around $100 or little more in my area) Jog forks and T are not large enough for front disc brake. Zuma forks will fit with this adapter unless you want to keep small wheels, which will require a lot of work, like fabing a whole new fork T or complex adapter, changing your wheels anyway (front wheel can't be easily adapted to front disc). If you don't have a CY50 send me the spec. of your forks lower part which holds the lower bearing, and I'll be able to look if zuma forks can fit.
