Set the valves on the tight side. Make sure your head is torqued to the max spec or +1/2 ft lb above. I think Z-Max is probably worthwhile. Use a lighter weight oil. Maximize flow conditions in entire intake tract, i.e., make straighter, shorter, smoother all the way from filter to the backside of the valve.... eliminate abrupt transitions between components, etc. Air up the tires. Drill a 1/4 inch hole through all the baffles in your muffler (Harbor freight has long bits) or drill through one or two of them as you monitor the sound level to achieve a level you and your neighbors can tolerate. Move the ign. trigger or reposition rotor for more static spark advance. A compact windshield can sometimes improve top speed a couple of mph. Alter pulley travel per tech sect. here to lower final drive ratio. Premium fuel usually does no good. Regular burns hotter. Don't beef up the tires with heavier profiles. Usually an after market exhaust is the easiest way to shed weight and gain better flow.... the blingy pipe will make your buds think it goes faster anyway.
