to the forum! First thing sounds like to finish installing the carb and see if the battery will hold a charge. If possible you may want to do a compression test. Definitely do one if it doesn't run once the basics are straight. Also with that kind of mileage you should change gear oil, inspect the CVT, check the front wheel bearings, and check for play in the steering stem on top of the usual pre-ride kinda stuff like making sure the tires are inflated/OK, lights work, etc... There's a huge aftermarket for these engines. Take a look around the builds section and you'll see some Triton projects as well as other scooters that use the same style of engine (1E40QMB / horizontal Minarelli).

Thanks I will check the line! Also what gear oil do you suggest and what are some good places to get parts such as the wheel bearings.

I use 75W90 Mobil 1 gear oil. A jug of synthetic gear oil lasts so long (110-120ml per gear oil change) that the price difference is hardly anything over time.
PFS is a great source. ScrappyDog, eBay, RacingPlanetUSA. For bearings sometimes you can get a part # off of it and head down to a local auto parts store to get one.

ScarppyDogScooters.Com has some body parts as well as PartsForChineseScooters.Com. A lot of the bolts on the scoot are M6x1.0. Next most common is M8x1.25. Hardware stores should have some. Harbor Freight has a screw and clip set cheap that works well for these scoots.

Ok thank you 90GTVert i will possibly be getting a new plastic piece that goes around the seat not quite sure yet but ill be worrying about the body once everything else is together. I plan on plasti dipping it black and going with the blacked out theme. In terms of the stuff i plan on getting heres my list let me know if i should add anything. -MAXIMA Super M High Performance 2-Cycle Oil -Performance muffler off ebay -New battery -Performance cdi box off ebay -70cc big bore kit that also comes with performance coil and (rollers which im not sure what those do yet lol) but it all is in a kit off ebay -possibly a new throttle cable, performance Manifold, and new drive belt if you guys think mine looks bad. Also im pretty sure the previous owner put a aftermarket carb on it but not sure i have 2 carbs here are some pictures with questions and also if you see anything in the pics that i should know let me know lol. I believe this is the stock carb? carb thats currently on the scooter.. does this belt look good? and also does it look like it has some slop in it? should it be really tight or?? I know this is my air filter but i do not know how it goes back on i also took it apart and washed the foam with hot water hopefully that didnt hurt anything?

-Performance muffler off ebay Just a generic one or have you found a deal on a name brand? Something like a Leo Vince is worth a little extra over the generic pipes IMO. -Performance cdi box off ebay Performance CDIs for scoots often promise, but don't always deliver. Some are stock curves, some are slightly better, some are a little worse. Your money is better spent elsewhere. If you do opt to buy one, I suggest riding before and after and forgetting that you want it to work and instead paying attention to acceleration and speeds. Stick with whichever works best and the other can be saved for troubleshooting in the future. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d8qHNNi5CA-70cc big bore kit that also comes with performance coil and (rollers which im not sure what those do yet lol) but it all is in a kit off ebay Sounds like maybe you've found one of Autotech355's deals? If so, good choice. Make sure you get teh proper wrist pin size. Rollers go inside of the variator, the front pulley of the CVT. Lighter ones will raise RPM, heavier will lower RPM. They help you get in tune so the CVT operates where the engine works best. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/2422/minarelli-1e40qmb-wrist-pin-sizes-possibly a new throttle cable, performance Manifold, and new drive belt if you guys think mine looks bad. Your belt looks basically OK for now, but you may want to measure it with all the belt dust shown. 15mm width is usually the service limit, 15.5-16.5 is good. 788 17 28 Bando is my preferred replacement. PFS sells them or you can sometimes get them really cheap on eBay. Just don't buy the cheapest no name belts. It's never a bad idea to have a spare belt. If that pic asking about slop is with the belt on the outer edge of the rear pulley, it may be time for replacement. If you had the rear pulley opened so the belt could move down inside, then it may be fine. Don't waste your money on the manifold. Consider a different reed cage like a VFORCE3 or just stock replacement carbon fiber reeds. Replacement CF reeds are cheap an improvement over stock stainless steel reeds. If your current throttle cable is fraying or binding anywhere replace it. Otherwise what you have is prob fine. Also im pretty sure the previous owner put a aftermarket carb on it but not sure Looks like stock/stock replacement carbs. I know this is my air filter but i do not know how it goes back on i also took it apart and washed the foam with hot water hopefully that didnt hurt anything? Washing the filter, as long as you let it dry before re-installing, is good. The reason it won't fit back on is because you're missing the tube that goes in the large hole and attaches to the mouth of the carb. I would also consider cleaning the whole CVT out and inspecting it all. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EjW-iSP-Q8
