Well you never know what will happen on a Twisty Riders Scooter Club run! We joined up for what was going to be a quick run to Ozark Power Sports for a member to pick up a replacement mirror... So 4 club members and I headed out to hang with 2 other members who own the scooter shop and were stuck in the "office". Once we got there I started talking upgrades with Tim (owner of OPS) and ended up ordering a new sport pipe, a free flow air filter and sticky "skinns" for my scoot. (rollers and jets included as needed) Wille we were doing that the guys started taking rides on a rockin' Blackjack Tim had in stock. Now Vince (my friend who some of you know from the T&G race) has been drooling over that scoot since we first listened to it rumble almost a year ago. But today was the day Tim finally made Vince an offer he couldn't refuse. PICs of Vince grinnin' all the way home. Now that's a great scooter club ride!

I'll pass that along. That scoot is amazing. Handles like it is on rails.

Finally got the camera sorted out. First half is the ride out and second half is the Blackjack coming home.

Beautiful vid as always. Is that one of those Contour HDs you got or the Canon you were talking about in another thread (or am I way off)? idd you edit to enhance the colors or is that how it came out. The colors are amazing in that vid. I really need a mount and cam that can get me video like this without all the vibrations from the mounts I've tried so far.
PS You gotta include real sound so we can hear these bad boys sometime. At least after you get your new pipe if nothing else! ;D

Thanks guys. 2TKid I'll pass your congrats on to Vince. Brent - Yes it is the Contour HD. With some Old-School video sweetening. By itself the camera is sharp but a bit bland. Would you like a tutorial? As for camera mounts i have found the POV cam hates to be decoupled. It wants to mount directly to the body of the scoot. The spot i am using now under the passenger foot rest seems to be the "sweet spot". Least vibration and a cool perspective. When i tried to separate it with foam rubber or suspending it with bungies like an old microphone it turned into a pogo-stick.

I saw the tutorial, thanks again. I gotta get one of those ContourHDs at some point. I like front views for lone rides, so maybe just a helmet mount. Hmmm. I can't afford one for a while, so I guess I have lots of time to figure that part out. By then cameras will probably be 5000p or something anyway. lol

I can get a front view from that spot too but a lot of boot. I'll end up putting another mount at the front.

Lol, you keep callin me 2stroke kid ! Thats ok i guess, been called way worse that fer sure. Its 2strokd "too stroked", get it? Even tho im running stock stroke in my scooter engine it just fits me ;D! That lil Buddy just fits Vince huh? He looks so happy on it :thumb: ! I like the front rotor! Tell him i think it would look sweet with the "extra US' turn lenses deleted and the flush mounts used! Brent wrote up a nice how to on that subject. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=igneleclight&action=display&thread=757

Sorry 2strokd i thought it was a play on words. Never happen again.
The dealer is very cool. First thing he did hen he got the scoot in was hook up the built in lights. Now that it is sold and inspected we will just have to pull the other ones off. That is the kind of product you get from a dealer who is a scoot rider and fan. We're lucky to have a guy like that here and a member of the Twisty Riders.

No kidding. In my "Hitting the Pipe" thread i talked about how i spent an hour with him annualizing my scoot and my riding and what i need based on what he knows about both from RIDING with me. Not on his profit margins. That ROCKS!
The great news is he and his son are going to start 2 race builds. One 4T and one 2T. Hope to get them to the next T&G.
