:jaw: :stars: I have been pretty close...Just no vid to share ! Back in 98 i had a 78Honda CB750. It was fun for what it was. I had the front brake caliper off one day for a rebuild. For some reason i couldnt get the parts that day so i ended up with rear brakes only that night. Im out cruising around without a care in the world :riding: . I decide im gonna wrap the ole Honda up, so i do...At well over 100MPH i decide now is a good time to start braking for the stop sign. NOPE :skull: ! I hit the rear brake and the foot lever just kept going until it hit the header :censored: . My throat got a lump in it as i tried not to panic. By then im looking at not one but two loaded semi,s taking off from the stop sign getting ready to cross paths in front of me as im am flying up to the intersection with no brakes :help: ! I didnt even have time to think. It was either lay the bike down and hope for the best(maybe if it were one semi), or do what i did and close my eyes, grab a gear, and twist the throttle. I bet there wasnt an inch between me and the semi grills :paranoid: ! I could feel the heat off their engines as i flew in between them! The light from the headlights shined through my eyelids like the sweet sun on a nice shiny day ! Thats how i knew i had made it to the other side. I was trembling so bad i HAD to stop by then. I coasted and downshifted to a stop as i lit up a cigarette. I could hardly get the kickstand down on the bike :barf: . The two fellas in the semis also stopped! They both pulled off thinking they hit me. They got out of their trucks with flashlights and walked around, then started to mumble and bitch. I think thats about when they figured out what had happened and probably thought i meant to do that. I never told them what was really going on, i was to shaken and they sounded to pissed to understand. After i sat there for a minute it dawned on me what had happened and i started to look at my bike. The rear brake was an old school non hydro one with a bar that connected the lever to the caliper...Well, the bar had come off the caliper at the worst time. I next to welded that sucker on after that night! After i calmed down i asked myself how i was gonna get the bike home? Myself said, "im not pushin this tank!". I started it up and limped it home without brakes .
