This is the color of my sparkplug today. I have the 72cc kit, main jet #85 and original air box. I know the picture is not very good! Is it good!Vermi! :scoot2:

It could go a little leaner if you wish, but that looks like a decent safe tune that you wouldn't need to worry about if temps get much lower. If you want the most power, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try an 80-82 out.

If you want the most power, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try an 80-82 out. I have a jet #82  I'm going to try for sure, because at low speed (under 24mph), the motor have no power (hesitate)...
Thank's! :thumb:

That is more likely an issue with the jet needle position or mixture screw. If you wanna try the 82 though, do it first and see if power improves 3/4-WOT. Get the main jet where you want it before messing with the other stuff.

I put the jet #82 and make a little ride. Whan i come back, i chack the parkplug and it look GREY! :ambulance: See pics.(I try to have better pics...) I think it was better with my jet #85! :stumped: What do you think!?I keep the original air filter, the UNI filter didn't fit and to noisy! It is normal that the engine grumbles in acceleration?Thank's!

I say stay with the #82 and play with the needle position and idle mix a bit. Try different brands and octanes of gasoline too. But do one thing at a time.
EDIT: To check running on different gasolines only put a few tenths of a gallon or liters in the tank at a time and carry a bit of gas with you so you can run it empty and really see the difference in gasolines without mixing them.

A little bit too light but not bad. I would do like stepthrutuner mentioned and lower the needle clip a notch and I bet it'll be perfect. If you have a fixed needle that can't be moved then you'll need an #84 or you need to restrict the air flow a little wit a plug of some sort. Just a little... Great job on the pics! It's always cool when people post pics of the process. It makes the forum a more interesting place and helps the newer people. Thanks vermi!

I re-install the jet #85 but i can't change the needle clip!!! The needle i have did not have clip, only one position... I reduce the weight of the rollers, before it was around 6.8g now is 5.7g, i have more pickup at the start....
Maybe that the growl is normal when the engine forces!?
When i empty my gas tank, i'm going to refill wit REGULAR.

If you think the gas is the problem, I would stick with the PREMIUM, but change gas stations.

People have been known to cut grooves in their needles with a thin cutting disc on a dremel tool. Going richer with your needle is easy, just put a thin tiny plastic washer under the clip.

I might have a needle out in the shop I can send you with a clip on it. I'll check next time I go out for a smoke.

After i put back the jet #85, i drive the scooter and i make a WOT and i hit 75km\h (45 mph). But i know i can't go faster i have a car in front of me! I re-check de plug and it was more white (when i have the jet #82)!!!! I make a test today, i never try the jet #88 with the original air filter One thing i see, it look have more power in acceleration and no hesitation.... I noticed, the scooter has more power at first and seems faster. Today is hot and windy a lot, I cannot say, it is faster, but my wife and i on the scooter it seems more powerful. After i make a 8 miles ride alone and make some WOT. I hit on my scooter speedo, with wind 75 km\h (46 mph)! When i come back i remove the spark plud and see what it done with the jet #88 (original air box). I try different angles to have a good picture! Can i drive my scooter like that? Vermi!

I finnaly found jets for my carburator. I buy a #90 and a #95.
To start, i install jet #95 and make a little ride around. Today is very hot 90°F and it's only 11:00am!!! :stars:
For the little ride i do, the sound of the motor change little bit (smooter), he has a good acceleration and no "chocking". This evening, when it will more comfortable, i check the spark plug. If it's black and wet, I try the #90.

Sorry I missed your previous post somehow. Glad you got some bigger jets. Another tip for this stuff is to do jetting changes quickly so you can see results in the most similar conditions. Run WOT on a measured distance and record your speed. It's best if you go to a certain spot, then back. Record both speeds. See which jet gives you the highest speeds and hopefully the plug will look good with that jet.
