You may have noticed I changed the old Clubs And Rides section into Find Local Riders And Events. There is now a section for every U.S. state, D.C., and outside U.S. as well as an area to post larger events where riders from many areas often participate (Twist N Gone for example). I'm hoping this makes finding locals even a little easier than before. I've added a sticky to every U.S. section for local scooter laws and information. I have tried to include only official links like DMV and state highway patrol information in the first post there. Some state stickies may be lacking necessary info. If you know the laws in your area and don't see them clearly defined by my links or have better links to them, please help out by posting them in the law thread for that state. Thanks. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/board/55/locals

Excellent work!
Everyone should read the laws for the state they ride in, might save them some $$$ for sure!

I don't think a lot of people are aware of their local laws. I know that people here were not when I was working on scoots and talked to more ppl about it. Some states I didn't have much luck finding good official info so I just added a link to an AAA page for a little more help to each area, but with all of us here I hope it can become a much better resource for local info.
I should add that if you know of local towns or cities that have their own laws about scoots or mopeds, please post that in those sticky law threads as well.

Great idea. VA just updated the scooter laws (changes go into effect July 14), so if you're in the commonwealth, make sure to look up the new rules as posted.

Great work! Unfortunately I now have to go back and question what the local police department told me when I first rode it. The KS statutes and official publications are contradictory, confused, and convoluted.
