As i'm doing more long rides in the MO summer heat i am thinking it would be smart to run an engine temp gage.
I found an example in the database but i would want an analogue style. I found several inexpensive oil and water temp ones. Any clever ideas of a way to use one of those on a 2T?
Thought about adding an analogue tac as well. I hate the digital instruments on my GT5. But i'm probably strange like that.

I like the analog tachs myself. It's not what you were asking for, but a cool solution is the Koso tach like 2strokd runs and like some of you gave to me. It's an analog tach with a digital temp guage built in. Nice piece. Check out 2strokd's pics and vids of Skeedr to see it working.
Search Google for "cylinder head temperature gauge". Auto Meter, VDO, and others make some nice analog gauges.

I really want to get one of those Koso's. Such a sweet little tach. In due time.
I've wondered about the water temp gauges myself as well.

Does it have all the same info? I'm not sure about his gauges, but my analog gauges on my R4 clone only have speedo and gas (turn, highbeam, and oil too). No tach. I'm looking for a set of digi's as well. Reign seems to like his upgrade, and I would love mine. If I could have a analog gauge set with tach, I would. Seems the easiest and cheapest way to set decent tach up on the scoots are the R5 digi's. |
