It sounded like you might have an issue with the needle since you were having issues at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Also make sure filters(fuel and air) are clean. Also check the color of the plug.

I will look into the needle possibility. The plug is brownish (kinda burnt looking) My problem seems to be the lower throttle area none to 1/2. I can be full throttle, running perfect, let off to go up my driveway & it will stall.

I found the needle adjustment and it has three possible settings. I changed it to one of the other ones and it fired up and ran really well. So, I took it on a ride. I went about a half mile, came to an intersection and when I went from full throttle to nothing it quickly stalled. It took about 5 mins to get started. I used the kicker with no throttle and it would putter a little then kill. Did this many times as I could hear it getting a little stronger each time. Finally I could feather the throttle and get it going. Again, when I can get the rpm's up, it will take off. Got about a 1/4 mile further & it did it again. On the throttle good, let off, die! If we get this solved and it runs smooth, I'm buying the beer (if my scooter will get me to everyone's house.) Thx

The color of the plug sounds good but a pic would help. Have you cleaned the carb, lines, fuel tank and filter. Also check the plug boot and coil. Make sure it isn't coming loose.

But why is it when it warms up & I let off from full throttle would it just bog down and die? It seems like what some would call vapor lock.

I see you cleaned the carb and changed the filter but you may still have water in the tank.

I previously drained all the gas and put in fresh 92 octane. Today I'm going to change the plug and clean the air filter.

Hows your intake gasket, or the reed block to engine gasket? Sometimes a cracked gasket will open more as the engine warms and different materials expand at different rates, causing torsion ob faulty seals. This is just my expieriance, and may not be the general consensus. Keep us posted.

I didnt look into the intake gasket yet. my carb needle has 3 possible settings, so yesterday I tried all 3. The current one gave me more lower end zip, but still does not fix the stalling out. This morning I decided to ride it to work. Did good until the first stop sign, that I just had to run to keep it running. About a mile later I got to another stop sign and had to stop. Stall... I use the kicker and nothing happens for a few minutes, then it slowly starts and idles a bit then shuts off. This goes on for a few minutes and then it will finally idle long enough for me to feather the throttle to get it going again. got it going and as I came to a couple stop signs I used the brake and throttle to keep it going. Made it to work eventually. Note: I live in Idaho, elevation 2500 ft. and its been in the 40's.
