I've never been a fan of those mudguards. Looks better. For now it would still be better with the signals mounted on the existing brackets than having the whole thing IMO. Whatever you do just get 'em on there before you ride. Other drivers are bad enough when we're using signals.

OK I have a 47mm big bore kit, 85# and 90# main jets, and a tachometer on the way.
I'm going to set it up with the stock head, airbox (minus the inside snorkel) and stock exhaust/muffler, and start with the 90# main jet and go from there.
I live at around 2500 feet elevation, everything here runs a bit richer. The 90# jet may be too much, if so I'll work down from there.
I'll have 3 main jets with the 2 that are coming, and I'm OK with drilling out the original should I need to dial in a main jet.

Upgrayedd: Which 47mm did you order? I am looking for one too, the hills in CO can really slow me down. I have been looking at this one: 47 mm BBK I'm at 5000ft and I am running the stock/drilled carb with 85 main 38 pilot jet with the air reducer out, my only issues is that I can not adjust the needle lower (keep this mind). I have a carb on the way to fix this. ( www.ebay.com/itm/161154688307?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649)

I cut a second notch in my stock needle jet today. I used a dremel to notch it, and took my time. I can't see the tiny stuff as well as I used to, but it came out good - the clip holds tight. Now I can lean the needle up a bit if I need to

My tachometer, and my 85 + 90 jets came today. They were not stamped (just bagged and labeled) so I etched a label in both with a dremel. I pulled the stock jet out and put in the 90. I gave the carb a quick dust-off and sacked it up in a plastic shopping bag to wait on my bore kit.
The carb came with a #81 main jet and a #33 pilot jet.

( www.ebay.com/itm/161154688307?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) @ Upgrayedd..one thing to watch with the dual shock T-3 scoots is that I have seen bearings on the right shock side fail..if so use a good...not Chinese one to replace it. Why the go out is beyond me..but I have seen 4 do that. @ 49cc High Country..I sell 44mm...47mm and 50mm big bore kits. With or without head. All come with an A9 performance cam(increases mid to top end power for a nice speed increase) The 44mm and 47mm work best with a stock head from my experience in the many I have installed for folks..but I also have the big bore heads. I suggest the big bore heads for the 50mm kits as compression can get really high with a stock head and as Brent said it can cause detonation and heat. One draw back of the 50mm kits is that while only 3mm larger than the 47mm kits..they seem to be tough on crank bearings and connecting rod bearings. My belief is that the counterweights on the crankshaft are not enough in weight and mass for the 50mm piston..so it makes the engine off balance. 44mm and 47mm pistons weigh slightly more than the stock 39mm..however when I weighed several 'brands' of 50mm pistons they are almost double the weight of a stock piston. So I only suggest those to folks that are willing to..and can afford the heavy duty crankshaft. My girlfriends Scoot has a 47mm BBK I put in and has over 7,000 miles with no issue..and using the stock head. Then we put in an A9 Cam and that thing really moves out now. Remember that a Cam is just as important in a 4 stroke as port timing is in a 2 stroke. They even come free when I sell a BBK.. Glenn

I just got back from a ride with the new 47mm bbk. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!!! Had a nice ride, even with breaking in the rings. I went over the new cylinder before installing it, and removed a few nicks of metal here and there that it could do without. A couple were in the opening for the cam chain tensioner. Rings were gapped as they should have been. All ring gaps are separate from each other. I set my intake valve to .003" and exhaust to .004". I reused the intake and exhaust gaskets, along with a thin layer of ultra copper rtv for a good seal. The cam tensioner gasket was hosed - it tore. So that got sealed with ultra copper rtv only. I took the dremel to the inside of my header pipe.. the welding was messy and there were lumps dripped here and there. I cleaned all that up and gave it a polish. I did some other mods to my exhaust pipe but the rest are all cosmetic and I'll post a couple pics in a few days. I started with the #90 main jet but it was too rich so I dropped it to the #85. The needle jet still has the clip in the stock position, and there's a rich spot where it sputters a bit when rolling on the throttle (the same way it did with the 39mm piston) So I think at some point I'm gonna try moving the needle clip up one slot leaner and see if that helps. The #85 main may be a bit rich too yet.. but I want to break in the rings some before I really get to fine tuning. The 47mm bbk is great! No more problems with hills - It handles them with ease now. Ok thats my update for tonight, been a long day so I'm gonna get off of here for awhile. Thanks again to everyone who offered info - u guys are super awesome!

Well since Ive been breaking in the rings pretty hard, I went ahead and did another oil change.
I decided to try and do something about that stumble when rolling on the gas, so I pulled the needle jet and moved the clip up to the top slot that I had previously cut with a dremel. With the clip up there, 2 of the #4 washers bring it back to its original setting, so I reinstalled the needle with the clip up top and one washer, and went for a ride. That stumble when rolling on the throttle is pretty much gone now, and that's good enough for me for today.
