Many scooters come with two separate headlights where one side lights for the high beam and the other side lights for the low beam. A lot of riders wish to change their scooter so that both lights illuminate for both high and low beam functions. Below is a diagram showing a typical system and how it could be modified. Click to enlarge. The ground in the dual filament illustration above should go to the center, not the right as in the image.Your scooter may vary from what is shown in the diagram. Some scooters may already have dual filament bulbs, but they may only be wired to use a single filament. You may have to replace the bulbs and the connectors. In some cases bulbs and connectors may not be available as direct fit replacements. Be aware that you could be greatly increasing the current passing through the headlight switch(es) and wiring. This could cause malfunction, overheating, or potentially fire. Modifications are done at your own risk. Common scooter charging and lighting systems (at least for the Chinese scooters I'm accustomed to) usually don't support above 60W to 70W total. Yours may handle more or less than that. That is a total rating, so you must add the wattage of any illuminated bulbs together.

Bug eye Zuma "Dual Headlight Mod": These particular Zuma's come stock from Yamaha with only one headlight on during "normal" driving. Both headlights come on when you flip to brights, but otherwise it just looks as if you're always driving around with one headlight out. I think Buell's are the same way? Here's the vid I used as reference to complete the mod:
