I have a matter of the Stator.. My Adly has a 6 coil stator. 5 bronze ones + the one exciter coil for a total of 6. Every stator I see has 6 bronze coils + 1 exciter coil for a total of 7. The Adly (expensive) site itself shows the stator as a total of 7 coils in the diagram..but when you click on it's part number the pic it shows has a total of 6 coils. Will the 6+1 type work with my 5+1 original? I have never seen a Minarelli engine that only had a 6 coil except this one....being 5 + 1 exciter coil...vs. the 7 coil which are 6 bronze wound + 1 exciter coil. The yellow wire on mine is dead and has zero output for battery charging etc. The white wire has the normal 18-24vac. This has me confused and wonder if the 7 coil will work with what I have..cause I cannot even find a 6 coil one... grrr.... Glenn

Adly really likes to do things different. Not different enough to accomplish anything it seems, just different enough that you have you buy their parts. I would think the stator would work as long as all the connections match up, and you'd just get a little more output. Then again, maybe they made their flywheel smaller too?

Brent..yeah..the 7 coil connectors...plugs and even wire colors match.. Hey any idea what the I.D. of the standard Jog type flywheel is? I don't have one to measure right now or I would. I could deal with a little more output as ya said..maybe even buy a 2,000 watt power inverter and run a refrigerator from my scoot..lol. Ok kidding but if it fits inside the flywheel and gives more power..that would be good. So if I knew the inside diameter of the standard flywheel..wth..I'll give it a shot before I pay Adly $139.00 for a damn stator!.. .. *runs off screaming RAPE!*...

I'll go check one of mine. Let us know if it matches up, for future reference.

I'll go check one of mine. Let us know if it matches up, for future reference. Brent..will do cause the Adly company parts dude told me some Eton and Lambretta 2t's have the same 6 coil stator. 5+1 vice the common 7 coil 6+1..

Mine looks like just shy of 82mm. 3.22 or so inches.

ID of my flywheel is 84mm and the OD of my stator is 82mm... Might be close enough to work.. Also forgot..the Adly company parts dude mentioned some of the Euro CPI Scoots and some Aprilia use the 6 coil 5+1 stator as well. Lucky me I have never seen one til today..but of course it has to be on my oddball @ss Scoot...lol. Murphy's Law? Anyway if the ID of your flywheel is 82mm and mine is 84 with a stator OD for mine of 82mm.. I wonder if the extra clearance my flywheel would give over the standard Jog Stator would be too much? So now I need to find out the OD of the standard Jog Stator and again..Murphy's Law..cause I tossed out my bad junk parts box last week..and there were 2 in there...

My last beamer had a 6 coil stator too, i'd never seen a stator so didnt know it was odd. Not sure about the 1 I have now. Let us know if the 7 coil unit works for future referance.

So if the standard Stator is 80mm OD and the ID of the flywheels is 82.. then it gives 1mm clearance on both sides of the Stator. Which means the standard Stator of 80mm OD with my 84mm ID flywheel will give 2mm clearance on both sides vice 1mm. Anybody think that would be too much?.. @ 2stroked...will do...cause I think others may run into this one day..

Hey doc I've got a standard jog Flywheel small taper off if you need one to go with a 6 plus 1 stator Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards Awesome...how much? Now why the hell did Adly NOT do that in the first place? Do you think it is possibly because their 5+1 6 coil stator costs $139.00?(and that is just for the coil in the center..not the assembly with pickup..they don't sell whole stators..just each part of them) Nah...they wouldn't do that on purpose ..or would they? The 6+1 i.e 7 pole has the exact same connectors and wire colors as mine..so it should work..or if not I will take my multimeter and pin it out then swap wires. Have had to do that on a few 139QMB stators to make them work. Didn't think about replacing my Adly's flywheel with a REAL Minarelli flywheel that has 6 magnets and not 5. As always bro..you kick @ss.. I am all ears..name a price..cause I have been riding with no turn signals..tail lights or break lights. They work with the engine off..but when running the stator short is so bad my battery goes from 12.88v not running...down to about 10.5v while running and it has killed 2 new AGM batteries already cause they are sensitive to low voltage and shorts in the wiring that cause them Adly = Another Damn Lame Yankee...

Oh and it gets better..this thing has a 4 bolt cooling fan on the flywheel not like the 99.9999% of other Jog clone engines that have a 3 bolt. Even the big ol' Aerox 100 uses a regular 3 bolt fan...this is gonna drive me insane.. But the regular flywheel ya got will work..and a 3 bolt fan I should have in my parts bins. But I just wonder why a 4 bolt on this?. Looks identical to a standard 4 bolt 139QMB fan...hmm betcha it is..

A matter of the Stator..Part Deux. The final Saga is amazing and interesting..ok at least it was to me. The first parts of this post are interesting and will help you more understand the research and testing... for what apparently has been an issue for myself as well as many that messaged me. SPECIAL THANKS go out to 90GTVert for his initial pics and measurements for me and also moofus02 for not only donating a TRUE Jog/Minarelli Stator..but for personally delivering them as well!.. Special mention to 2stroked for his last post where he was close...however by then I was done with my build/tinkering/assessment/tinkering/testing/brainstorming/burning my fingers with a solder iron/cussing/and too many other things to mention.. So to rehash..this was my dilemma..the yellow charging leg of current went out on my Adly 2T Scoot. It is a 6 pole stator vice the normal 7 pole Jog/Minarelli stator. Only available through Adly..Lambretta and few other sources with a pocket change price of $119.00-$149.00..eek! 3-4 times what the normal Jog/Minarelli engine uses! BUT the Jog/Minarelli stators will not fit or work UNLESS you change the whole setup..stator..flywheel fan and all. As mentioned before.. these freak of nature 6 pole stators can be found on Adly..some Eton..some older Aprilia SR and some versions of CPI Euro/Euro2 engines as I found when I researched.(honestly not sure what a Euro/Euro2 engine means but...) I order to use the stator moofus02 donated I had to also have a 'normal' Jog flywheel and 'normal' Jog 3 bolt fan. My flywheel fan is a 4 bolt and we will get to this in a bit. I put in moofus02's stator..flywheel and a 3 bolt fan and it worked. Plug 'N Play it was and off I went. All coils now read the proper voltage and the battery was charging! So now with his 'normal' 7 coil setup installed I looked at my original setup and found the following as detailed and shown in the pics.. My flywheel..ID 85mm OD 109mm..weight 718gr..4 bolt fan. With 6 visible magnets Jog flywheel.. ID 81.5mm OD 100.5mm...weight 654gr...typical 3 bolt fan With no visible magnets. Only time I have seen a flywheel with visible magnets was on an old 152QMI/GY6 125. My stator...Center hole ID 28.5mm Bolt hole spacing 41mm stator OD 83.5mm Jog stator... Center hole ID 28.5mm Bolt hole spacing 41mm stator OD 80mm So what does this all mean? Look at the pics below and hope you can read the annotations I put in them using Paint Brush. It tells us the oddball 6 coil Jog/Minarelli type engines use a 6 coil GY6 125 4T stator vice the 7 coil 'normal' Jog/Minarelli engines. It also uses the GY6 125 4T 6 magnet flywheel and therefore needs to use the GY6 4 bolt fan. The GY6 stator is mounted to a Jog/Minarelli back plate using the wiring harness and plugs from the Jog/Minarelli 7 pole stator! So I set out to make one using an old GY6 6 coil stator. I cut the wire harness long enough from a dead Jog/Minarelli stator so I had room to solder them to the GY6 stator color by color with enough space to solder and shrink tube each individual wire then wrap them firmly in a large piece of heat shrink tubing. Thinking since it was a GY6 stator now with Jog/Minarelli plugs..I figured I would need a GY6 R/R. I was wrong as it blew a fuse every time I fired it up. So I went back to the stock Adly R/R and she roared to life with all leads producing the correct current! For some reason the GY6 R/R will not work with this so we must use the stock R/R..which btw are $39.00 each!! But as 90GTVert showed me the Polaris 90 Sportsman engines use many of the same parts..so instead of paying $39.00 when your 'odball' 6 stator 2 stroke R/R ever craps out..buy one of these at less than 1/2 price. Here is one link..there are 100's more! www.ebay.com/itm/231123198883?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITSo bottom line..these 6 coil Jog/Minarelli engines are actually Jog/GY6 2T/4T hybrids.. Here are the pics..look closely and read and they should clarify all of this. Oh..and know what the best part of this is?? No need to buy that $119.00-$149.00 6 pole "proprietary stator"..just get on Fleabay..buy a $12.00-$14.00 GY6 125 6 pole stator..solder your Jog/Minarelli wire harness to it..and tell those those rip off companies to shove their stator up their 'proprietary @sses'.. They are not proprietary...they are just mix n match parts from 2 different types of engine so they can bend you over a barrel..then rob your wallet. Nor was their $39.00 R/R proprietary..it is a $14.00-$16.00 Polaris 90 part.. Hope this helps and makes sense..if not ask and I will certainly clarify... Glenn

Also note!! The Jog coil is mounted with the exciter coil on the top and screw 45 degrees away...while the 6 pole GY6 coil is mounted at the bottom and the screws are 90 degrees away from the Exciter coil... I forgot to mention..with his ACTUAL Jog stator and flywheel which about 100 grams lighter than my GY6 4T flywheel..it seemed to rev quicker than my lead heavy one. Kinda makes sense though..and I wish my flywheel was lighter.. Glenn
