With my Kymco People 50S 4T, i install a 72cc kit and keep the original air box. I try a lot of jets to find the good one. The #88, #90, #92, #95 and #100! Now it look good, The little electrode is lite grey and the insulator have a lite coffe color and the ring is black. The only problem i have, when i make a stop and i put trottle at the max i have a little miss of 1\2 second in acceleration!? :banghead: But after my acceleration is good and top speed is 42~45 mph! If i start gradually everything is fine, no miss! I play with the air mix screw, check all the vacums... No idea? I read a other post for the variator weight, is it true if we put liter rollers, we didn't lose speed??? My weight is 220Lbs and sometime i bring my wife on the scooter with me, for the moment i have 5.2gr in my variator. What happen if i put under 5G rollers (4.5g) Thank's!

Do you have an adjustable jet needle? If so try to lean it out 1 notch and see how that works..

Maybe its a little lean at idle and when you twist the throttle it gets i tad flooded for a second?

A 4 stroke depends on the pilot jet much more than a 2 stroke, perhaps the pilot jet needs to be a bit larger...

The valve clearances could be played with a little maybe. Try making the intake valve gap one thousandth of an inch smaller so it opens a millisecond sooner and see what happens. pilot jet=idle jet=low speed jet. They make different sizes. They look like this:

My valves are at .002 inches.
For the low speed jet it's a realy good idea to check that!!!!!
Thank's!
