I've been poking around for a bit and even posted once, so I've desided to introduce myself. I know its backwards. My name is Shanen. I live in lynchburg va, and am new to riding on two wheels in general. Bought a used taotao50 with a bbk in it. The last owner tore the scooter up, with burnouts, laying it down at some point, and i think a wheelie due to the package tray and mounts wripped off the frame. My guess is a burnout that cought and flipped the scooter.
Anyway, I am no stranger to getting my hands dirty, being a mechanic and all. So making repairs is easy. Just different platform.
I bought the scooter to use intown here to cut down on gas costs and wear and tear on my suv. With the laws changing in va here i desided to go with the 50 rather than the 150. I can get away without using freeways so it doesnt bother me.
So there it is, another newbie to join your ranks.

Yeah, you really have to find people that know what their talking about. I was lucky to find a shop in the area. They don't sell Chinese scooters, but are very knowledgeable about them and what parts are needed. They will even work on a Chinese scoot.
