Hi everyone I'm new to these forums but love what I see! Glad to see there is so much info out there for the enthusiast and home handyman My name is Hayden and i've been a motorcycle mechanic for the past 20 years (man how time goes) I am a former NZ 125GP 250GP and F3 champion and have been building race engines for a long time, I used to work the the California Superbike School in LA as an instructor and have competed in a World 125cc Championship round in Australia, as well as racing in the USA. While I am new around here I would be glad to help out where I can or even just chat about the randomness of life! I currently work for Motus Scooter and Motorcycle here in NZ and specialise in Chinese scooters and their quirks. Glad I could stop in and loo forward to meeting some new people Cheers Hayden

Hi there, Yeah i have a little here and there tucked away for a rainy day Small engines are a real passion of mine, I really loved the Honda RS125's I raced, we could extract serious HP from those little buggers! Thanks for welcoming me along

When I raced motocross, I preferred 125cc. It is amazing the power and speed of the 125's.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you were quite successful racing There is just something great about getting three or four times the power out of these scooters that they were made with.

Yep! extracting lots of power reliably is another story though.. We had over 49.5 RWHP from my 125 so around 53 at the crankshaft. I am building a sort engine at the moment for a 1E40QMB Minarelli so even though it's a/c I am still aiming for around 15-16hp without resorting to any brand name parts

Sounds like you have a lot of expieriance there. If you are sucessful at your latest endeavor, please, please share even just a few tips and cost cutting techniques. I too love these little motors, I am amazed by what can be done to and with them. I am seriously strapped for cash, so I would realy love to see how this build goes for future referance. You picked the right place to join. There are a lot of truly great people here.

Welcome aboard. There's a lot of people running the Chinese scoots these days. Cost wise, they're really hard to beat. It's a fun place here
