Okay so i have a chinese made scooter from the panther co. with the gy6 engine 49cc. It has a problem where it will cold start right up and ill drive it to the gas station put gas in it then it wont start. if i let it sit for about an hour it will start up again no problem. also while idling at stop lights the engine will die and wont start unless again i let it sit for about an hour. i put a new spark plug in it last summer. cleaned the carb and changed the oil after it was wintered. im getting a new battery for it asap anybody got any ideas?

I would start with a valve adjustment.

thanks for the welcome emoticon but im going to install an 80cc bbk and check the valves while the engine is apart ill see if i cant fix this asian pain in my ass

Make sure you tune the carb and CVT when you do that big bore kit. Should be a nice boost of power.

Mine did something like that so I blocked of the auto enrichment circuit. I could start mine cold if it started on the first touch of the starter. Otherwise it flooded out and had to sit for a while to clear out. Blocking the auto enrichment solved that problem but made it hard to start at 25°F.
My carb needs tuning badly though.
