That's why I had to share. I know there are bigger collections out there, but so often people say they collect these and they have 10-20 cars. He's got that many and more of the 1/24th scale that he has no room to display. I told him he needs more cases for the wall. He said he knows, but they are at least $200 each. I've mentioned a friend that was really into racing before on here. Now you can see that I mean REALLY into racing. lol If you watch a NASCAR race with him, he will tell you that the announcers are wrong sometimes (at first I used to think, right... these racing vets are wrong and you're right)... then later they'll say they were wrong or correct what they said. lol

Sounds like your friend should talk to some people if he needs a job???

He always says he could do their job. I bet it's tough being on camera being recorded live though. I would keep the censors BUSY if I was on live anything. :censored:

Wow that is amazing! Would love to know where he gets those F1 (or are they IndyCar) cars. Have to have one of those. But you are right that an actual part from a car is way cool. I want a piston from an F1 car or MotoGP bike. Or a scuffed race tire. Or... Tell your friend we are very impressed and thanks for sharing.

Some of those are F1 and some are Indy. The really detailed one with a few pics is real carbon fiber. The Tyrell (6 wheel) is aluminum. Both of those are high end and he said I didn't wanna know what he paid. I think he gets some of the open wheel cars on gomotorbids.com. There are more sites he's showed me but I can't think of them now. Not sure about F1, but I know you can get all sorts of crap from NASCAR... hoods, fenders, pistons, tires, wheels... I gotta get him on here. www.gomotorbids.com/CategorySearch.cfm?Category_ID=81&Category=Indy-Formula-1

F1 is so proprietary that i"m sure anything off a car would be impossible.
Thanks for that info.

He said gomotorbids like I said or www.speedgear.com. As far as real parts (F1), good luck.

Cool, thanks for asking him. That carbon fiber car looks like it was worth the price. Good for him.

Yeah. It comes with a little lug wrench to pull the wheels off and see the details in the brakes up close. Even the smallest details are in the tires, that feel real. Detailed cockpit. Detailed computers. You name it. The others are nice too, but that one is another step up.
