Hooked up the cvt cooling mod and drove about 100km's to see how it's working out. Im still having a lagging cvt. No real difference as it seems. But there are a couple of things I can try to make it better. - Putting a red malossi contra spring in (currently yellow) - Different TD spine angle
With the currently high ambient temps the engine is running quite rich, especially on the needle (between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle). So it's also a bit sluggish on the throttle. So yeah, leaner mixture makes it more snappy and might be able to pull it quicker through that nasty dead spot.

So tomorrow Im off again to do another camping roadtrip. 5 guys and me from the Bourgondische Barrels roadtrip in 2015 planned a 3 day trip from Amsterdam to luxembourg and back. About 800km/500mi.
Only did some minor checks to the scoot so im kinda taking a risk here. Only checked rollers and belt. Im bringing a fresh plug but thats it. No tools, parts or whatever. Call me stupid but I'm sure the axis will hold up perfectly fine.
Yesterday even put the needle clip 1 position leaner. Runs better now.
Anyway, Im bringing my Sj4000 and have 32gb of SD card I can fill. So hopefully I can create some nice vids.

So im back from my roadtrip! It was a blast! We didn't ride to luxembourg nor the Ardennes. We decided to go to Germany and rode to Aachen. First day was a short one for me. The other guys rode from Amsterdam to somewhere near the Belgian border. I live in Eindhoven which is only like 40kms from the border so I met them somewhere near the end of the route for day 1. We got drunk at the campingsite, made a lot of noise, had a BBQ and made a bonfire. Next day we decided to change the route and go to Aachen, Germany. In Aachen we set up our tents and pulled out the booze and got drunk again. Then we decided to go to a stripclub Drank a lot of beers there got even more drunk. Then we left and came across some real cozy little bar where we continued to get more drunk haha! When we wanted to go home we got lost so we called a cab. One of the guys left his phone in the taxi but he got it back luckily. The last day we returned to Holland and rode about 200kms...3rd day was brutal. It was cold, there was a real strong headwind the whole time and everyone was hung over. When we reached the next camping site around 7pm we quickly took a shower and went to the pub...you can imagine what happened next... I didn't have any breakdowns btw!

For sure you can get by with no tools especially if your riding mates bring some and your credit card and phone use are no problem. But why not just take a few in a 7x15 cm soft zipper bag that would fit anywhere in your pack, jacket or pants to quickly get you back on the road when you suffer those niggling and unforseen incidents?
