Do you know the bolt center to bolt center distance of your fork caliper mount?

Do you know the bolt center to bolt center distance of your fork caliper mount? No, but it's the same for all the euro yamaha scoots: Aerox, Neo's, Jog RR, Axis, Zest and Bw's. In other words, all the OEM 2-pot calipers from all the euro yamaha's are interchangable. The only difference is the distance between wheel axle and caliper mount on the fork leg because of the different wheel sizes. The Axis has a 10 inch wheel so the caliper mount is closer to the axle compared to the 12 and 13 inch wheeled scoots.

Ok then it most likely is 43mm from bolt center to bolt center. What about the brake disc? Are you gonna upgrade it or stay stock? I think those adapters depend not only on the caliper type but also disc size. 200mm? 220mm? What would be the max size on a 10 inch wheel I wonder.

I have a stock diameter 155mm disk. I can't go any bigger with this 4-pot brembo because it would run into the wheel.

Wanted to do this mod for quite some time now. I've seen lot's of bigger 2t's including my cr500 have the cylinder centered on the cases. I feel more comfortable knowing the head is centered and secured on the cylinder and the cylinder in turn on the cases. I bought some dowel pins at a local scooter shop and used those as centering pins. Everything is super secure and aligned with zero play. Next is putting the fresh piston in, mounting the cylinder and do a leak down test. I might take the cylinder to VHS to have the cylinder ported. Dunno, im curious what he is going to suggest, maybe leave it as is or go all out. Anyway, just thoughts....

Single pot caliper though, with adapter bracket.

I have run both 220 and 200mm on 10"..
It is a dance to get the caliper and bracket on, usually you have to loosen/remove the rotor bolts, then slide the caliper on then fit the bracket in between and then install rotor bolts.
It can be done though, I have a 220 on my Dio and a 200 on the Spree... or the other way around I forget. Both are 4 pot

Getting an adapter for a 4pot caliper to fit a 200 or 220 is common. But I have never seen an adapter to fit a 4pot caliper on a stock size rotor disc.

I did quite some research on this topic in the past even posting on zumaforums about this. Eventually came to the conclusion it's best to pick the stock rotor and a big caliper since oversized rotors are hard to find for a jog/axis. Zuma's and BW's have dished rotors and Dio's have a different wheel design (i guess) which makes mounting bigger rotors easier. Did anybody ever put a bigger rotor on a jog? If so, please tell me about it

There are some RPM or Adelin sets on Aliexpress and they write detailed info. For example this kit hereI am not sure but if I recall this correctly the bolt distance for a jog brake disc is 57mm from bolt center to bolt center (3 bolts total) the Aerox or Jog RR have a larger bolt distance of 70mm. The 200mm disc shown in that kit has a 57mm bolt distance and the 220mm has a 70mm distance. So in your case you will have to go with the 200mm disc setup. The adapter they use fits both discs. They include 2 small adapters to raise the caliper by 20mm for the larger disc which in your case is not necessary. I think the easiest approach would be to buy such a caliper, disc (200mm) and adapter kit and then everything should fit just fine. The bolt distance on the fork itself is always the same for Jog and Aerox which is 43mm. I used a 3YK Jog Brembo caliper on my pre 2002 Aerox fork on my Prebug and it fits like a glove.
Of course you don't have to buy exactly THAT kit shown in the link above just make sure you get the one with the right bolt pattern.
My Monster Jog friend swapped his front fork, brake disc (200mm) and 2pot caliper on his CV50 Jog with those stock 3 spoke 10 inch wheels. Not sure if a 4pot would have fit in there and I cannot ask him or take any pics anymore since he passed away beginning of this year.

Im sorry to hear about your friend I dunno how people can fit a 4 pot caliper AND a 200mm disk into a 10'' jog/axis wheel. Thats no-way gonna fit with my parts combo. This Brembo caliper is quite beefy. I'll take some pics when im getting at the front brakes. I'll need the engine to run first

Thanks Lucas. He was a good guy but the cancer won at the end. His wife called me few days ago and she asked me to pickup his Air compressor tool. She said since I share the same passion for scooters as he did it is what he wanted me to have. There were also other tools like a 4 ton press and many other smaller things but I declined since i don't have any space at my place so the local bike shop guy, also a friend of his, took the rest. Sad thing but I guess no one lives forever it is just a matter of when and how we leave this world.
What about a 200mm disc with Brembo 2 pot combo? The larger disc alone should give you a better brake result. Or a bit more extreme and costly, swap in an Aerox fork and slap on some 13 inch wheels then you can go larger like 220 or even 280 like spaz12, overse or Pig did.

I can't really remember why i didn't go with a 200mm disk and the oem 2-pot caliper combo. Probably because i concluded it wasn't gonna fit? Or maybe the total lack of domesticly available oversized (200mm) axis/jog disks and caliper adapters? Or the risk of buying from Ali and later on finding out the part is useless because it doesn't fit? Can't really recall how i came to this, but quite some research went before it so im pretty sure my conclusions are legit. So i guess i'll stick with the stock diameter and an upgraded caliper for now. But if someone can show me some pics and info on succesfully using a 200mm disk on an axis/jog wheel...That would really come in handy!
