Have been running the 70 for a few days now, about 150-200km i guess. Still runs good, it didn't yet seize up at multiple 20sec WOT pulls and doesn't show any other peculiar behaviour . I really like the CVT setup, it's super stable rpm wise. I have tuned it to 10.200rpm with 4gr rollers and a yellow malossi contra. It pulls strong and feels very solid but maybe i can go higher on rpms with this C16 thats on. What do you guys think? I have a set of 3,7gr or i can mix those with the 4gr thats in there now. Haven't really checked the ignition timing yet nor made attempts to tune the carb to the best i can. MJ is spot on but it is still a little rich on the needle. It kinda briefly sputters when i take off from a stand still or from idle rpm. Did a plug chop yesterday. The old basic B9HS was still in and in the meantime the two iridium plugs i ordered from NGK and Denso (BR9HIX and IWF27) had come in. So time to cut up the old one. Below is the B9HS that i had been running and tuning the fresh motor on up until now. Let me know what you think of the plug people. It was a bit darker on one side. Now this one is in. It's an iridiun plug and comparable to a 9 range NGK. Gapped it to 0.6.

Top pick... looks like a regular old spark plug. Hard to tell I haven't seen one like it in a couple years. 😂. No but on a serious note. Looking at my spark plug chart. Gap looks thin. But could be from the angle of the pic. Heat range perfect. Jetting around the edge is half rich half lean so probably perfect again. Base says rich. Overall opinion ... keep going without adjustment. Definetley run the same heat range iridium. 👍

Are you still running the sp3?
Plug looks good for a runner.

Today i was cruising around on the 70 and at a traffic light a dude on something like a Honda cb125r or KTM 125 duke 4poop thingy stopped next to me. I was like, yeah...let's race. Well....he smoked me For a good hour I felt a bit sad actually. Wanted to share that with you guys, you know...

What happened? He likely had a high dollar 200cc stroker big bore, but your 70cc 2 stroke should have out run it..

Stock KTM duke 125 top speed of 77mph. Ktm 390 forget about it over a 100 40+hp. Throw in a dyno jet pcv on any of those and it's a rap. It wasn't that bad. I'm sure you gave him a good fight. The guys at Scooterswapshop all have the 390 versions. They say they like em.

190mech. Probably. He wasn't that much faster though. Tuning is still at static base setting, I havent tuned or anything besides swapping a thinner needle (rollers, contra, clutch, jets are still unchanged). ryan_ott. Yep, metrakit sp3 aka athena evo aka stage 6 racing mk1. The sp3 is not based on the pro race, thats the sp2...a downgraded pro race. This one is just another rebaged athena evo. Stage 6 and top performances also carry the. Done nothing to timings, they are 190ex 130trans 128 boost. I have a 13k rpm Kundo F1 pipe, but then i'll need a race ignition and bigger carb. 'o'verse. A stock duke125 would probably be a worthy competitor. But i doubt the 70 will do 77mph.

Tonight I raced a very fast honda mt! Which was awesome!
I had been working on my volvo at a friends shop all day and was on my way home. I was riding the 70 quite hard and at this long stretch i saw from my mirror this 1 single head light slowly coming closer and closer. I was like, oh...thats probably just a motorcycle trying to pass or whatever. I was already doing like 60mph (on a 50 road) so i was like Ah this dude is probably into some sporty riding too just like me so i gave it WOT to see his reaction. His head light was kinda dim so i was already hoping it was some older 80's maybe 2t bike or in the best situation a very fast scooter/moped!
Then he passed me and i was like...Huh what??? That was a goddamn Honda MT!!!?? What the hell!! And a fast one too!!! So instantly i was hells yeah let's do this!!! And WOT'd and went after him because i wanted to see what that bike could do. I can't just let this guy overtake me like that right!? I gotta give him the hardest time i possibly can! Instantly my adrenaline shot up!
He was just baaaaarely faster than me and i kept going WOT until he let off for a roundabout. I was just right behind him and after the roundabout i gave it the onion again and so did he. From that point we kept like almost 100% side by side while accelerating...probably up until 65-70mph. He kept looking behind to see if i could keep up...which i could haha! I can still hear myself think...that guy probably didn't expected that stupid little tupperware box to keep up!!
Then he slowed down and made some stopping gestures at me. I stopped and we had this super nice conversation about our bikes and two strokes and such. I asked about his bike and found out he was running a 6-speed mb-8 motor with a Malossi 110cc bbk, 26mm mikuni carb and a proma chamber. Quite the same setup as the honda i owned a few weeks back...only his was waaaaaay faster. He was amazed about how fast my little 70cc was and being able to keep up with his bike. Anyway, a real cool experience and i was super glad there are still some really fast moped around and which willing to race.
Hopefully next time i can provide some video material.

For all we know this could be some kind of twisted made up fantasy about smoking other scooters. J/K. Lucas we know it probably really happened 😉. First you whooped a motorcycle and now a Honda 😆. No but seriously the Tupperware box had me laughing my ass off! Put the onion in the Tupperware and send it.

Holy hell this thing is ugly! And im not planning to do anything about that Bought two things. A new carb at the parts fair last weekend and a leg cover to keep my legs and knees nice and warm. It's a Dellorto PHBH 28. It's probably overkill but I remember someone saying (think it was PIG ) when he swapped over to a 28mm on his a.c MXS build power increased quite a bit. And I just want to be cool with my big carb like all the honda dio peoples. I'll prob need another throttle tho, and an intake. I want to hang the carb aimed forward for three reasons: - Straighter intake/shallower angle - Easier to reach choke lever. - Shorter airbox to intake area. I want to have a bar welded from the front fork to engine mounts for extra rigidity. I can then hang the airbox from that bar. The leg cover works like a charm. It's fulgy AF just like the rest of the scooter but it keeps my legs and knees soooo nice and warm @ 70mph.

Going to be cool like all the Honda dio/Elite guys (here in Hawaii) with a big carb! Lol I like running the 28 carbs. And yes, I agree that it does feel like it has more power with a bigger carb versus my polini cp 24. The polini worked fine, but you could easily tell the difference when going WOT from low speed. My oko 28 guzzles gas but it can dump enough fuel to keep my cylinder temps where I want them. Large carbs are Super Loud though
