I have a 2013 Jonway YY50QT-4 zuma clone that i got in a trade for my 2013 Taotao GT 5.
It is a mystery because i have looked all over the net for info on it and came up with nothing.
I contacted a dealer that sells Jonway and he never heard of it before, according to him Jonway Stopped making the zuma clone in 50cc size in 2011, he asked if it says Jonway on the scooter or MSO and i said it does, still waiting to hear back, i think he is at a loss to find one.
My scooter looks identical to the 2013 150cc Jonway zuma clone that is called an MC 150.
I have seen in this forum where people have ordered Roketa scooters and have received Jonway.
I wrote to Jonway and haven't received a return email as of yet, i will update once they reply.
My Jonway has a very nice fit and finish, everything is in place and tight, it has stainless steel bolts and an NGK spark plug, not sure about the belt, i will know when i install the new kevlar belt.
It also has a 150cc muffler on it, the air box has a plastic filter with paper and a thin foam cover over the paper, bot a cheesy piece of foam like most chinese scooters have, there are no restrictions in the air box at all.
The ride feels solid, no vibrations, no rattles, seat is very comfortable and it handles bumps very well unlike my GT 5 that vibrated and rattled a lot.
it had a few issues, one was the emissions, the canister for the vapors was no good, i had to remove it, the PAIR system just blew hot exhaust into the air box and robbed power so i took it out and had the exhaust pipe welded where the fitting was.
(note to self, never paint the exhaust pipe).
one issue the great people of this forum helped me to resolve was the scooter would bog and die at WOT, i ended up installing a #90 jet and that problem went away.
it burns clean, no rich burning smell from exhaust at all, no smoke and no black spark plug.
this is my 3rd scooter, i bought my first scooter last season, a 2012 Motofino MF50QT-6, it got stolen from in front of my house while i was inside getting lunch.
then i got the 2013 Taotao GT 5, totally upgraded engine from inside out, did carb, exhaust and CVT as well as ignition upgrades, it was FAST but like i mentioned, it rattled and vibrated.
actually did before i did the upgrades on it, thought they would improve it.
i tried to sell it so i could go to superior scooter in CT and buy my Bintelli Sprint, it was a Burgundy one but no one wanted to buy the GT 5 so i went to a used car lot near me that had the Jonway and he made an even trade with me, taotao had 2,300KM on it and the Jonway had 38 miles on it.
I love my Zuma wannabe, it is a great scoot but i had my heart set on the Bintelli and i know the dealer that sells them, they are the best around in my opinion and the only place i buy my oil and supplies from.
NEW PICS, this is my Jonway YY50QT-4
thank you for reading my long and boring post.
