Hello all, I'm looking to get more take off power and be able to get up hills easier on my Hyosung Sense. Pretty much all of my riding is under 50kph in stop and go traffic with a lot of hills. I am planning on adding a Tecnigas Silent Pro and some lighter rollers or sliders. I was just wondering what torque spring and clutch springs you guys would run. 1k torque spring and 2k clutch springs? What are you opinions?
Also, does anyone know what kind of carburator is on the Sense or atleast what size diameter the main jet is? Is it a 6mm?

I'd go with the 2k clutch springs on any set up...
As for the torque springs, I usually use a 1.5k - 2k (yellow, red) depending on my roller/slider set up. If you feel like it's shifting up to early, no matter what size roller you use, then you need a stronger torque spring. I'd go with a roller tuning kit if possible to experiment. CVT tuning is an art. You need to have a good feel/understanding of whats going on. Practice is key.
So, take off power - stiffer clutch springs so you have a better "jump" off the line, lighter rollers, and stiffer contra. You could also play with washers in the variator to let the belt ride a bit lower for a lower take off gear. In my experience, one washer is about 5mph difference on the top speed, though.

As of right now I can hit 60KPH with out any problems and that's plenty fast for around here where I ride. The max speed is 50KPH on most streets around here, what kills me is the hills.

Ok, it's finally sinking in that there isn't much that can be done with my scooter. I'm in kind of a situation anyways... After taking my gf out on my scoot and letting her ride it around the parking lot every night, she wants my cheap scooter and wants me to find another one. Lol. So now that I know more about scooters I'm not sure what kind to buy. I'm not even sure what I can find locally. There is a Hyosung Prima Racing for sale at a shop down the road but I'm not sure if parts will be much easier to find compaired to my Sense. I kind of like the Honda Ruckus/Zoomer(lots of aftermarket support in the states so getting parts should be easier) but I don't know where I can find one in Korea. I could probably find one in Seoul but getting it back down here would be an adventure to say the least. So I feel stuck right now. :stumped: :banghead: :stars:

I would look for anything small (depending on your size and needs?) with a Minarelli engine on it. The aftermarket is HUGE and parts are available about anywere for em. Nope, cant go wrong with a well tuned mina :thumb: :burnout: If you could snap some shots of the local scooters, we can probably help sort through em with ya?

Being that I'm in Korea, pretty much everything I've seen locally is either a Hyosung or Daelim. It seems like there are more parts available for the SF50 engine then there are for the SD50 or SB50 though. I was looking at scooters at a shop the other day and the shop owner insisted that I ride a Prima Racing. I liked the suspension A LOT more than my Sense. I bottom out on my Sense a lot (6'2 about 215lbs). I might just pick up the Prima since I like the suspension and looks of it a little better. That and my gf want's my Sense. Lol.

Anyone know a good roller or slider kit and where I can get one? I'm still looking at parts(mostly just because I like to learn more). I should be picking up a Hyosung SF50 Prima Racing tomorrow so I'm shopping around for that one and giving my Sense to my GF. I'm pretty sure the rollers are 15X12 in most of the Hyosung scoots. Anyone have any info or opinions?
