Under carbarated

Would using a carb that is small make it tempamental to weather changes and such. I dont' have a probley changing the carb but i can't find a intake manifold that will work on my guniune buddy. Instead of using like the zuma manifold that points toward the front of the motor it points back over the cvt cover. Any ideas are really apprecaited.

There are intakes that face pretty much whatever way you want, but they can get pricey...

My smaller carbs seem less temperamental than the big ones. The big carbs are dealing with a greater amount of air so the amount of fuel needed in different conditions will vary a little more.
