Hi, as some of you read in my introduction topic, i have a Malaguti F10, which i exchanged for my SR50. First thing when i got it home - ripped it all apart, i were very angry, at my self, but mostly at the guy, who told me: ''it just needs a cranks top end bearing'' ended up like this. - Trashed crank
- the things, it has gears, the shaft, where you put your clutch on, i don't know how do you call it in english
- Trashed rear wheel
- flywheel was welded onto crank
- had no electronics, just for ignition to work
- and lots of other missing/trashed stuff...
So i tought, there is no point of making this engine run, when i have a 50% done Honda AF18 engine just layin' around. Im still missing a lot of parts for this engine, so hopefully tommorow i will get another engine, which has mostly all the parts i need. That's it for now, today i won't post any pics, but i will try to post them tommorow Stay tuned

Why not sticking with the minarelli engine? Are you planning something special with the Honda engine?

Had to put about 80-100Euros to just make it run. Nothing special, just ported, lowered cylinder and bigger torque driver, and variator.

So, threw it all together, had a good first start, no bad sounds, so everything must be cool. I will just list anything was done today, just to not make a huge, not understandable text. - Assembled all the engine, except CVT
- Kinda made my engine mount, still needs some welding done
- Insulated all the wiring, btw you guys will be surprised, how much wires it needs to just get spark.
I would assemble all, but i forgot, i don't have CVT belt, but that's ok, my friend has one, so i will borrow it or just buy it from him. But still, there is a lot to do on the scooter itself, all the frame customizations, body work etc. Stay tuned!

Instead of borrowing my friends belt, today went to scooter tuning shop, and bought a new one, i didn't have any data about the belt (lenght, width, angle) but hopefully this one will fit. Btw guys, is there any ways to unbolt a real tight nut? like REALLY tight. I've always managed to unbolt my clutch with no problems, but this time it's a real pain in the ass....
And guys, any good ideas for body work customization? i have ''evil eyes'' on my mind, probably will make them, but anything else?

For the nut... Impact wrench. Heat the nut. If it's corroded/nasty, penetrating oil and allow it it to soak in for a few. Careful of fire if combining penetrating oil and later heating.

Well, i don't have an impact wrench, it was never needed. Might try the heating method

My black fryday's report. It was a good day, in school, in garage, everywhere, made my engine mount 90% complete, put the engine in the frame, looks like a ruckus, back wheel is extended about 20cm more, than stock. So, when i got it in frame, i was starting it, all cool, it ran, everything nice, UNTIL there was a crack sound, and the engine just stopped, couldn't turn the crankshaft, i was like: ''the piston rings ''catched'' cylinder's port'' got the cylinder off, all cool, no scratches, all perfect condition, in the bottom end, saw a piece of aluminum, then i started to worry really much, disassembled crankcases, found out they were leaking, but that's wasn't my biggest problem. the piston's lower corner, well, it wasn't there, but that wasn't the cause of seizure(i guess you call it like that in here) it was caused by crankcase piece, fall somewhere, damaged piston, and stopped the crank, it was there because i over-torqued cylinder's studs. Well, it's hard to explain, but the aluminum was there, it caused seizure, and im pretty much screwed right now, by budget is like not empty, it's overdrawn There will be no updates for a while, but i will try to figure out some DIY stuff... - Peace!
