Hi,iv just picked up a 7 year old keeway matrix with low mileage, when I say low mileage im talking only 496 miles, everything works and after some fresh gas and oil she fired up after 4 attempts,it pulls well and purrs like a cat that just got jumped by a tom lol . Now im thinking of doing a stretched and lowered scoot with clean bars and full panals, the lowering part and bars I can do (done a few custom chops on bikes in the past ) but iv never done a stretch job on a scooter. My question is this anyone got any info on how to move the engine mounting point im looking at maybe 8inches of stretch, are there kits for this or is it something you need to fabricate yourself and if so has anyone got any info on how to go about it ?

It's been done here. Most fabricate themselves. I think Kieser makes a kit but I may have read they were unstable. Nice scoot. Welcome aboard and post some pics.

There should be a YouTube video on how to stretch a 139QMB *nudges 90GTVert* *nudges harder*

Welcome!
I've been looking into stretching my 1P39QMB about 6" to 8". I haven't found any kit to do it. I'm looking for a no weld install (I don't have a welder).
There are guys here that have stretched scooters, but no one has done a thread on how they did it (HINT).

I don't know that there are bolt in stretches, at least easy to find, for the 139QMB. MonsterGY6 used to sell a stretch and fat tire conversion for some crazy price, but now I only see Ruckus kits. There are members here looking for the motor mount from an Ice Bear MadDog because it is stretched out, but so far I haven't seen anyone saying they've found anyone selling them.
If you can't buy the mount the only other bolt-on would be if you have a short case you would get a sort of stretch from a long case swap. It's not going to be what you're looking for if you really like the stretched look though. It'll still require removing or modding fenders/mudguards and maybe more I'd guess.
Then you're down to fabrication. Either you or someone you hire would need to do one of two things. Elongate the engine mount bracket by welding in additional material or fabricating one from scratch or chop the mounts off of the frame and weld them on farther back. The former sounds much easier.
Sorry, but I doubt you'll see me stretching a scoot real soon. Not really my thing. I generally prefer quick handling that the short wheelbase gives. The TaoTao is a bit squirrely even at 40 sometimes though, so who knows, it may happen someday.

Thanks guys for all your encouragement and advice .iv just been looking at a keeway focus build on here by custom , wow that is workmanship a real artist .he seems to have come up with an ingenious way to stretch the scoot and remount the motor in the original position if needed and no welding required and I really like the aerodynamic air scoop underneath . Getting loads of ideas down, so now its time to start getting my hands dirty lol
